  • Each time you accomplished one activity you get a piece of a puzzle. But what do you see in these pieces? Some of the most important buildings of our towns. Here you can read a bit of information of these places.

    Piece 1

    Parthenon, Athens

    The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian AcropolisGreece, dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Its construction began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. It was completed in 438 BC, although decoration of the building continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece.

    Agora, Athens

    The Agora was the heart of ancient Athens, the focus of political, commercial, administrative and social activity, the religious and cultural centre, and the seat of justice. 

    Guggenheim museum: The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, and located in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. The museum was inaugurated on 18 October 1997. It is one of the largest museums in Spain.

    Church of Berango: It's name is Saint Domingo de Guzman. It was built in the XIX century over the ruins of Saint Lorenzo church (XII).

    Piece 4

    Defensive walls: They were built between the XIII and XIV centuries in Dzierżoniów, Poland.

    Bizkaia Hanging Bridge:

    The objectives of constructing the bridge in the 19th century was to link the two banks of the Nervion river without hindering the shipping. It was dessigned by Alberto Palacio.

    In 2006 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Main Square: Dzierżoniów, Poland built in XIV century for the first time. Then rebuilt in XIX century. Now it is a work place for local goverment and there is a town library too,
