DISSEMINATION AT VEGA DE ATARFE SCHOOL, SPAIN
Our project is on the eTwinning board at school, on our school website and on the media. Some of the students who have taken part in the project visited First and Third Formers to tell them about their experience and to encourage them to take part in future projects.
They used this Genially to show their peers around their twinspace and to present their work.
It was at the end of October, at one of the English staff meetings, that I first mentioned this project. I told my colleagues about the amazing poems that students from around the world were writing to introduce themselves and suggested that we could use them as part of the Term Reading Activities instead of the Graded Readers that we usually work with. Everybody agreed that it was an excellent idea so we prepared two selections of "Introduction poems" from the different countries - one for Second Form students and the other for Third and Fourth Formers. More than 150 students have read them and worked on the activities that I prepared.
I decided to do the same with the collaborative story. When it was our turn to write the continuation of the story, I asked all my students in Third Form, not only the 14 students taking part in the project, to read the 6 parts of the story that our partners had already written and to bring ideas to write our part. They had to work on some Reading Comprehension Activities too.
