  • Our school is Istituto comprensivo "Europa". It is in Faenza, a city in the south - east of Emilia Romagna, an Italian region. Faenza is not distant from very famous Italian cities, such as Ravenna, Bologna, Florence and Venice,

The Institute is made up of five schools: two nursery schools (pre - schooling) named "Il Panda" and "Arcobaleno" for pupils between 3 and 6 (three year - curriculum); two primary schools, "Don Lorenzo Milani" and "Tommaso Gulli" for children from  6 to 11 (five year - curriculum) and a first degree secondary school for pupils aged from 11 to 14 (three year - curriculum).

About 1,507 pupils attend our schools. Teachers are 130. The school has been actively involved in European projects since 2010  and so far it has brought forward 2 Comenius projects, a multilateral one with Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria and Turkey and a bilateral one with Spain. Teachers are encouraged in training themselves abroad and 2 of them have lived very interesting experiences in Iceland and Spain, respectively, working on "Outdoor education" and on "Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)". The exchange of good praxis is provided through the website: http://www.iceuropa.it/ and various blogs
