students and teachers,
We will place our famous figures on a timeline, using the tool called "ReadWriteThink".
Each participating class is going to present the famous people of another country. This is a good way for the students to discover more about the history of their partners.
So, let the adventure begin! Let' s all find out about each other' s history and culture!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TEACHERS
For this activity you must choose which country' s famous figures you want to present with your class. You are going to make a timeline and add to it all the famous people that your partner has presented in the game "Guess our famous figures". Please, DON' T make a timeline with the famous people of your own country.
1. Write your name in the table below, next to a teacher' s name or in a new line. Once you have found your pair, you are going to be special partners in this activity.
2. Go to the PAGE "Guess our famous figures" and find your special partner' s app. Have a look at their famous people.
3. Ask your class to find out more about these people. They can look for information in books, encyclopedias, the Internet etc. The students can look up information such as birth and death dates, a short description about this person and a picture or a photo of him/her.
4. Show your students how they can edit the timeline by adding in chronological order the information they found.
5. Share your timeline by uploading it on the PAGE "The famous people on a Timeline"
