A Greek traditional kid’s song is the “To kokoraki” (“The rooster”). The lyrics are repeated as you can see.

When, my lady I will go to the market,

I will buy you a rooster (kokoraki). The rooster kikirikiki,

it will wake you every morning.

When, my lady I go to the market,

I will buy you a hen (kotoula). The hen kokoko,

the rooster, kikirikiki,

it will wake you every morning.

When, my lady I go to the market,

I will buy you a little cat (gatoula). The cat niaou niaou,

the hen kokoko,

the rooster, kikirikiki,

it will wake you every morning.

And so on, with a bird, a pig, and a dog.
