Here are the films, presentations and other materials prepared by the Polish group and shared with the German team in March, April and May. They served as a starting point for numerous class discussions.
German-Polish relations have a long and complicated history,overshadowed by Germany's invasion in 1939,the Holocaust and the expulsion of Germans from former German territory after the war. These days relations have improved despite a number of nagging tensions. People and Politics talks to two experts on German-Polish relations: Egon Bahr,architect of Willy Brandt's Ostpolitik ,and Janocz Reiter,Poland's ambassador to Germany from 1990 to 1995.

16.Significance-special meaning.
17.Escalate- to become or make something become greater or more serious.
18.Sully- to spoil something that is pure or someone's perfect reputation.
19.Initially- at the beginning.
20.Struggle-to be in danger of failing or being defeated.
21.Leakage-making known secret information.
22.Hesitation-the act of pausing before doing something, especially because you are nervous or not certain.
23.Distrust-the feeling of not trusting someone or something.
24.Resentment-to feel angry because you have been forced to accept someone or something that you do not like.
25.Issue- a subject or problem that people are thinking and talking about.
26.Expulsion- (the act of) forcing someone, or being forced, to leave a school,organization, or country.
27.Attract-(of people, things, places, etc.) to pull or draw someone or something towards them, by the qualities they have, especiallygood ones.
28.Reconcilation- a situation in which two people or groups of peoplebecome friendly again after they have argued.
29.Spot- a small, usually round area of colour that is differently colouredor lighter or darker than the surface around it.
30.Develop-to invent something or bring something into existence.
