  • Comemmorative plaque for the prominent painter M. Ruzamski

In May 2016 Polish and German partners came together again in Tarnobrzeg. In remembrance of the prominent polish painter Marian Ruzamski a comemmorative plaque was given in the center of Tarnobrzeg. Ruzamski, who was accused of Jewish heritage by the Germans in 1943, was imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp and died of starvation in Bergen-Belsen in 1945. The plaque was sponsored by europafels and the German Polish Youth Office. All partners want to remember the past and hope for a democratic and peaceful future.
