Intolerance & radicalism

  • All over Europe we have experienced intolerance and radicalism the past years. People are turning back and closing into the supposed comfort of their own country and culture, and see integration, meddling, mixing, openess, exchanges as a counter-value and a threat to what is somehow perceived as their own 'roots' and 'traditional values'.  Us against them, and a sense of misplacement and invasive insecurity is surrounding our student population. But who are 'us' and who are 'them' exactly?

In the last stage of our project we will focus on the tragic terrorist events, like the attack in Norway the 22nd of July, and learn more about what the extreme consequenses of intolerance can be and how we can meet intolerance and radicalism in our local communities.
