As you know the following stage in our project is board games and and France is the country in charge for A5 activity.
To recap:
-you are to select a traditional board game (Monopoly, domino, ludo, draughts, chess, cards, puzzles, etc. any indoor game that is played on a flat surface and that has some educational value);
-you are to make this game with your pupils and grandparents in workshops, making any modifications, transformations or adaptations to your specific purposes you like;

-when your games are ready and rules are well mastered, you may organize family competitions using your board games - "Which family plays better?".
At one of the workshops during the mobility in France we will have to present the board games. Each country will bring one game with rules and instructions how to play it laid out in simple terms with photos if necessary . Thus we will make up a collection of 8 traditional board games.
As an extension of the board games theme in the same workshop you'll be asked to create a lesson plan using traditional board games, but for this part you needn't prepare anything in advance. We'll work on it at the workshop.
“Traditional Puppets”. We will;
- SELECT the traditional board game
- LEARN the rules and instructions
- PRODUCE it with basic materials
- PLAY with invovelment of grandparents/parents (partners experiencing difficulty to grandparents may create a mixture of grandparents and parents. The grandparents do not have to be real grandparents of the pupils)
- RECORD the entire process with videos and photograps
- REPORT by creating a presentation for disseminating it to other partners during the mobility in France.
As a reminder, Board Game is the kind of a game that is played on a limited flat surface that can be paper, wood, plastic, plywood, or even the ground itself. We have seen very nice example of board games during Bulgaria mobility if you remember “Who Plays Better” session organized between the children and the grandparents/parents.
