    Our trip

All began on Monday 19 at 5 in the morning at El Prat airport. We were all very nervous to get on the plane and start our adventure.

The plane took off at 7 in Paris direction, and three hours later we were already visiting the city. There we discovered the high coffee and crepes prices, and the good island atmosphere. After visiting the arc of triumph, we ate in the Latin Quarter, where we could taste all sorts of food and harmful gases.

A while later, we were already preparing ourselves to make the longest flight of our lives. This was quite intense, with insomnia and multiple turbulence.

After this torture, the doors to the paradise were opened to us. Upon leaving the airport, our partners were waiting for us to give us a very warm welcome (literally, it was very hot) and we went up to the coach to start the adventure.

We had lunch next to the coast. Later, we participated in a gymkhana to discover the area and meet us among us.After a day full of emotions we went to our partner's houses to get a good night’s sleep.

More rested, we got out of bed at 6 in the morning for go to the institute, go around it and make the first presentations. We took a picnic on the riverside and then we visited a town, whose name was…... .The guide that led us on the excursion had a very closed accent that was not understood so we decided to test our coordination by bundling our sneaker laces with each other and doing everything in that way. Finally, we went back with the families, we had dinner and went to bed.

The third day on the island was the most sweated day, we climbed one

Mountain, it was exhausting, but we overcame all the obstacles. At the end, it was worth the effort just for the insuperables views. On the top of the mountain, we were waiting for some good cookies, a pack of potato chips that were difficult to open and a bottle of a fizzy drink that tasted like Dalsy. We were lucky enough to return by coach.

Upon arrival, we performed a very fun class of yoga. All the positions were spectacular but our favorite was the hero one. Our teachers were the ones who did the best, they had fun like little children!

That afternoon, we all had dinner in Carmen’s partner’s house. There we ate potato pizza, samoussa, and more fried potatoes. We taught them spanish typical games and laughed a lot.

On the fourth day, we enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Trou d'eau. There, we could enjoy a great canoe trip for two people watching the spectacular seabed and knowing that we were far from the sharks. After the bath we recovered energy and went to the turtle museum where we learned about the species and enjoyed observing them.

On Saturday we went to Saint Leu, to visit a souvenir market and typical food of the island. Once there, we bought souvenirs for the family and coconuts to drink, one of which we baptized as Mario and we had to bury it, because we could not get him on the plane. Later, we went to a river to eat and to take a bath. We were lucky to find a section of the river that had a current. It was one of the most memorable moments, we let ourselves be carried by the current. Even, we throw ourselves at the same time, holding our hands. More than one person took bruises to home.

That afternoon, as it was the last night we spent there we had dinner together, partners, teachers and families on the beach. We become full of food since everything tasted great and as they liked our games, everyone agreed to play again. It was a lot of fun even though we finished sandblasting.

Arrived on Sunday, the last day on the island, we were sad because we had to leave but also lively to enjoy the activities we had left to do to the fullest. First we went to a museum on the Le Piton de la Fournaise volcano, where we learned many things. Then we visited the volcano where we made the famous mannequin challenge and, before going to the airport, we made the last bath in the river and we took an ice cream to cool us.

Finally, we went to the airport, where there was a crazy and moving farewell, and the plane left at 9 in Paris with Finland and Poland teams. After sleeping throughout the trip, we woke up on Monday in Paris. Once there we enjoyed a cool ride through the city before returning home. We only had 6 hours of train so that our trip will ended, and despite being very tired we did not want to return to reality.

Once we arrived, we were happy to meet with the families but knowing that our dream was already over.
