It is undeniable that a child is reading skills are important to their success in school, work, and life in general.
Goals:
Improved language skills
Increased concentration and discipline
Improved imagination and creativity
Cultivate a lifelong love of reading
With cooperation with parents, teachers and with the library in Ljubljana, children are include in a program Ciciuhec – a program to reach a reading badge. The tasks of program: a child choose a book he wants to know, parents read it, and latter a child present that book to the children in preschool. At the end, they got a badge and a diploma. Usually we go to the local library to get awards.

In Slovenian curriculum is very important so called "Hidden curriculum". One of those things is also children so create activities and make theme planes. Some of our month presentations of work for parents and other visitors.

We decided that we can share with our toys. We can give them children who need them more than we.
Our teacher Ewa have a friend who comes from Kongo. He is coming back to his homeland so we sent few our favourite soft toys. We sent children from Afrika a letter, where we wrote that we whish them good days and good people who help them.

One of the topics that we elaborated this year was healthy lifestyle. We talked about healthy nutrition choices, as well as exercise. We focused on Olympic games, which gave us the opportunity to talk about sports and their importance in our health. Afterwards, we tried to propose a healthy menu and find out the categories of the nutrition pyramid.

This year our kindergarten bought a Beebot. Our students were very happy to learn by using it. We involve it in understanding orientation, coding and decoding routes, creating mazes, finding items, writing our names etc. We also represented the fairy tale of "3 Little Pigs", while using this device.
