After watching the videos in class and discussing the topic our students felt the need to do some research and find out about brands, chain stores or small local businesses that had commited to a more sustainable trade business. They presented their findings to their colleagues and are proud to share them with all of you:

GreenLifeStyle means many more than organic clothing, it represents a green lifestyle and that is what we promote. Ethics in fashion and respect for the environment is what mainly governs our activity.

We are an ethical and sustainable fashion store in Barcelona. We distribute independent designers who create and produce their collections in Europe. They are pieces of certified clothing made under the criteria of sustainability. The clothes we sell are 100% organic with natural fabrics, respecting the environment.

We always choose timeless collections because we like lasting fashion. We do not follow trends but we love the design, so all the pieces you will find in our store are governed by a great design behind and high quality materials.

 

Isla de Plata is a new store of feminine clothing and accessories, of ethnic and Mediterranean inspiration. Our project was born in 2017 in response to a growing demand for women's clothing that brings together design, quality, sustainable and responsible fashion.

You can try and buy some of our clothes in our physical store in Barcelona, very close to the Gracia neighborhood. We love to receive, advise and give personal treatment to those who wish to visit us. And of course you can also receive your garment at home by making a purchase through our online store.

 

 

Hello! I am Alice and since 2011 I am the founder of this online portal, ecological fashion store. In parallel I have my physical store; Slow Concept by Sunsais, in Gracia (Barcelona) At the same time, I like to collaborate with brands willing to change our economic system, incorporating ethical values ​​and sustainability in our way of working. I have a great career in ecology thanks to the education I acquired when I was born under the association of my parents called; VIDA SANA, created in the 70s in Spain to encourage and support projects related to the ecological. I grew together very well established organic companies in the market as well as; BIOCULTURA, BIOCENTER, ECOPAINT, BIOCOP among others who were born in that association.

Currently I have several years of experience. I am concerned that the textile sector is one of the most polluting industries for this planet and in my career I have supported several companies and projects with their brand development, reinforcing their environmental and social values. It will be a pleasure for me to catch up, with the sustainable ecological sector.

Born with a sustainable fashion concept, based on the idea of combining natural non-polluting fabrics, handmade production made in Madrid and outlets made in Spain. This is a novel project, so the collections have exclusive and very limited pieces , with hand-painted prints and digital stamping.

This brand was born in 2014, with the aim of creating a brand that satisfies the concerns of the designers about the reuse of obsolete objects for their original use, using and exploiting the physical and formal characteristics of the material, giving rise to new objects with organic and minimalist shapes. All creations are handmade in Bilbao and each piece is unique  and unrepeatable, combining functionality and originality.
