Winners in the European Pupils Competition 2018

The Europäischer Wettbewerb (European Pupils Competition) is the oldest student competition in Germany that supports European education in artistic, literary and sociological disciplines.  It promotes competences and talents of children and adolescents. In this 65th edition 85,626 pupils took part!  As is the norm in this competition, the theme selected is that of the current European Year, hence for 2018 'The European Year of Cultural Heritage'.  So it was more than logical that we submitted this project to this comptetion.  Or better said, it was this competition which inspired our project title!  In total an impressive number of 1,296 schools coming from 75 from European countries, took part in this edition.

Our project, which ended a winner, was enrolled in the eTwinning category of the competition.   In this category thirty-one international projects were submitted coming from 103 schools from 25 European countries.  This meant the participation of 2,391 students!  More specifically our project participated into Module 2 category which was open to participants aged 10 to 13, with the theme "Adventures in churches, palaces and castles".

Very well done to all partners and students for your hard work. You managed to convince the jury to award our project the first place in its category which meant a 600 euro voucher to be shared between all the four schools.
