UNESCO

  • Do you know what is UNESCO?

Not all participatns did know the exact function and role of UNESCO.  So the Maltese school had the pleasure to invite the Maltese Ambassador for UNESCO HE Mgr Joe Vella Gauci.  He accepted and paid a visit to the school who met the participants in our project.  After a short introduction of what we are doing in this project by Christian (one of the participants) and an a short message by His Excellency, participants had the oppotunity to post questions they had prepared.  The one hour long interview turned out to be a very interesting and enriching one.  He also signed an original drawing of the Gozo Citadel done by one of our students Mara Spiteri.  We got to know much more about his role and that of UNESCO in general. He also invited to to visit pay a visit to his office later on.

Listen to the interview.  It is in Maltese but we will be doing a summary of the main points in English later on.
