Skype Call - Madeira / Italy

On the 21st of March, we had the chance to skype with our Italian partners. At first, they were having a bit of trouble hearing us, but luckily the connection got a bit better and we were able to talk for a good half an hour.

We got their feedback on the goodies we had sent them. We were really chuffed that they liked our biscuits. :) We took the opportunity to talk about the videos they had created while trying the polish recipes. It was really cool to be able to speak directly with the students (thank you Sofia and Francesca) that created the videos and have them walk us through the steps they had to take.

They taught us some Italian phrases, which was awesome since we love speaking Italian. When they asked us to translate the sentences into Portuguese they thought it sounded like Spanish - a language they actually learn at school - and we agreed with them. Indeed some of our words do sound like their Spanish version - or is it the Spanish words that sound like Portuguese? :)

Our Italian partners were all extremely friendly and we felt at ease when talking to them. Beatrice explained some of hand gestures italians use when talking and it made us smile a lot. We also talked about our traditional food and we all laughed when we agreed that chocolate is an important part of Easter. We also found out that we have 2 weeks break for Easter and they only have one week.

We wish we could visit them or they could visit us! That would be fantastic! :)

Thank you guys, for a wonderful skype experience! We can't wait to talk to you soon.
