Discovering European Heritage

  • This project allowed us to show pupils some of the European Cultural Heritage that Serbia has to offer. The teachers organized field trips to Fortified Manasija Monastery, The Resava cave-the oldest cave in Serbia, Waterfall Lisine - Veliki Buk which is under state protection as a natural monument and is the object of the geological heritage of Serbia and Europe. Frontiers of the Roman Empire - Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan park, a symbol of Belgrade and its surroundings and the tallest building in the Balkans - the Avala Tower. Avala mountain, with 8 springs of fresh mountain water, which is a region of exceptional qualities and protected natural beauty, Monument to the Unknown Hero, a monumental complex with 8 caryatids at the entrance, in national costumes, representing the unity of all nationalities in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Nikola Tesla Museum, The Great War Island, The Church of Saint Sava...
