STEP 3: collaborative books

  • For this step, we consider that each Team (I remember that a team is composed by two countries, for example an Italian group and a French one) should create his own eBook, collecting one example for each organization level.

    What are the organization levels and how many are they ?

    We have 8 levels, so in the team, each group (for example the French group of the team 1) should work only on 4 examples.

    These are the 8 levels:

    • 1 -Atom ;

    • 2 - Molecule (carbon dioxyde, glucose, protein ex: antibody, or DNA / chromosome etc.) ;

    • 3- virus ;

    • 4 - Cell ( bacteria, human or plant cell, algae protozoan, yeast…) ;

    • 5 - Organism (human or any other animal ex: insect, fish, Mammal…) ;

    • 6 - outstanding Earth’s surface relief (mountains, volcanoes, deep sea trench…) ;

    • 7 - Earth or any other planet (even extrasolar planets !),

    • 8 - Solar Systems, Galaxies

    What to do for each example?

    • A brief description (in English)

    • An image or photo of the example

    • Write the size in two types:

      • Using a relevant unit of measure (for example a micrometer for a cell)

      • Using Meter as Unit of Measure and power of ten for expressing the value

    How can I decide which example will be done by country and which by the other country?

    We will create in the Forum section a page for discussion about this Step. So discuss with your colleagues of other countries and decide what each group should do.
