    Climate in Croatia

We were investigating and reading about climate in our country and we found out the following:

According to the Köppen classification, almost all of Croatia has a moderately warm rain climate and the highest mountains in the snow-forest climate. Only the Dalmatian coast and the islands have Mediterranean climate, while in other parts of Croatia are various types of moderately warm and humid air that differ with each other in terms of the heat of the summer months (hot, warm or fresh) and the annual precipitation regime. January is on average the coldest month in Croatia, although the largest colds occur in the first half of February. Rainfall is most common in the form of rain, and in the cooler part of the year there is snow. The average duration of insolation in Croatia increases from west to east and from north to south. The smallest insolation has the highest peaks of the mountains and northeastern Croatia, while the largest insolation has the southern Croatian and Dalmatian islands and Hvar is especially highlighted with 2674 sunny hours a year. Various winds occur in Croatia of which most notably in the Adriatic are the most important bura and south. In other parts of Croatia names of winds are given in the direction of the wind blowing, eg the north.
