Transnational meeting in Córdoba

  • OUR SMART WELLNESS, ERASMUS+ KA219, LAUNCHING

The Transnational meeting of our Erasmus+ project, called SMART WELLNESS. Healthy Youth through digital technology, science and entrepreneurial culture, has taken place in our school from the 12th to the 15th of November 2017.

During this meeting, the principal and the coordinator of our partner school, Základní škola Pacov from the Czech Republic have met our school participating staff to coordinate the work to be carried on along the two years the project is going to be implemented. On top of this, we have held a welcoming meeting with our students last 13th November 2017.

There, the principal of the Czech school, Mr. Jaromír Havel and the Project coordinator Ms. Věra Plášilová, introduced their country, region, town and educative system. From our school, seven groups from different levels introduced the activities and productions they are working on.

The Czech staff had the opportunity to visit different classrooms where students were working, with special attention to Special Needs students like the PTVAL (Programme for the Transit to Adult and Working Life. This programme is devoted to young students between 16 and 21 years old with special educative needs) and Autistic Class. These students are actively taking part in the project and will take part in the mobilities to the Czech Republic next school year.

Our project Smart Wellness has as a main objective to improve the physical, mental and social wellness of our students. For this, it will foster digital skills, female scientific vocations, healthy eating and entrepreneurial spirit prioritizing the inclusion of all students and the cooperation with primary feeding schools.

As most outstanding productions we will create:

-An App with local restaurants which pay attention to special diets.

-A cooperative digital and printed recipe book for special needs diets.

-Productions about scientific women: an interactive exhibition, lectures, a mock congress and a round table.

During the long working sessions, we have revised the project’s timeline, we have analised and agreed on numerous technical documents related to the activities, productions and mobilities designed in the Project. All of this went in a fluid and friendly atmosphere.

As a complement, our guests have been able to enjoy our city’s rich heritage and the special gastronomical offer of some of the restaurants that we will choose for our App, like the gluten free menu from Sociedad Plateros in María Auxiliadora and the Sephardi menu from Casa Mazal restaurant.

On the other hand, we have already planned the Exchange meeting in Pacov that will take place from the 12th to the 19th of February 2018 where 11 students from 4º C y 4º D and 4 members of staff will take part. The participating students have been selected, among other criteria, by their knowledge of App Inventor, the application we are going to create the App about restaurants. When in the Czech school, they will be able to share their skills with this digital tool and enjoy shared different educative and cultural experiences.

Healthy Youth through digital technology, science and entrepreneurial culture. (BIENESTAR INTELIGENTE.
