We really loved working in our garden during the winter ...

 

   but most of all we enjoyed the spinach pie we made at school with the help of                  Granny Stella....

 

 

     5th Kindergarten of Kilkis - Greece

We have created a small vegetables garden in our schoolyard. The kids planted cucumbers, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, aubergines, lettuce, laventer, oregano, mint, peppers, and they water them every day. We wait to taste our vegetables!

School garden in Radom

Our climate enables us to plant vegetables only in late spring and summer since the rest of the year is too cold. This year April and the beginning of May were quite cold (freezing, with a snowfall) so our kids could sow seeds of salad and parsley indoors. Meanwhile kids and teachers prepared place and soil for the school garden. It will have a white small fence. More pics to come soon.
