Witold Pilecki was a Polish officer, who during WW2 made everything to be arrested by Germans, then sent to death camp in Auschwitz. There he arganized resistance in the camp and sent information about Holocasust to authorities in Western Europe. Unfortunately, they didn't do anything with this information. Eventually, when the Germans started investigate the resistancein the camp, he escaped from Auschwitz and continue his fight against Germans in Poland. after war Pilecki was arrested by communists and charged with treason and cooperation with western countries. He was senteced to death and killed in 1948.
