This project is a result of a training event for teachers which was a part of Erasmus+ KA219 Partnership of schools – “Through democracy to literacy”.

The inspiration for the topic was the delightful FOOD we have in La Rioja, including grapes with which we create our well known wine, different types of vegetables, and harmonious recipes.

The project concept is built on the involvement of the whole Community, where everyone´s contribution is relevant and necessary.

Project aims are strongly connected with developing literacy and democracy in classrooms. Project based learning and Reggio Emilia are the basis of the teaching and learning approach within this project. The main method for its activities is “Learning communities”, including Interactive Groups strategies – as they were strongly well considered during and after the training event in Spain.

During project activities we want our children to encourage creativity, exploring and arousing initiative in the learning process.
