Brief description of the project.
The projec makes us unique.it is about the promotion and reinforcement the idea of being European children although they live in different countries, with different cultures ,tradition and different languages.Teaching pupils to respect,tolerate and understand their identity by promoting intercultural dialogue among countries of different religions.
Through this project pupils will be closer to each other and will try to strengthen the feeling that they fight prejudice and racism.Take pupils understand similarities and appreciate differences and have a vision of human endeavour as a whole by getting to know other people way of life,to find out what
Objectives
-By exchanging the facts about different European partners,pupils understand their culture,their historic roots,their traditions and their language.
-Will compare and contrast what they find out.
-Exchange similarities and differences in different fields.
-Pupils from various country can cooperate,learn from each other and diologue among peers from completely different cultures and surroundings.
-Improve self-esteem,listening and critical thinking skills.
-Ability to be reflective about their own belief,religious and their culture.
-Use a range of social skills.
-Pupils can improve writing and speaking in English.
-Develop willingness to participate in a team project.
-Develop interest in exploring,improving, understanding and showing respect fortheir European partners.
-Collegues share a good practice among them,improve learning and teaching methods giving them the opportunity to cooperate.
Working procedures.
The project begins in February.
Step 1: In February teacher will keep in touch to prepare and plan the different tasks to be carried out. They will start by writing a presentation of themselves and their pupils and school.After that will introduce their city/town/village,their region and their country.(Creating video presentations,photos.etc.)
Step 2: In March will exchange informations about partners to do with tradition,culture,belief,inheritance, language,national days etc.(By photos,paintings or videos)
Each information will be published in TwinSpace with videos, photos etc.
Step3: In April pupils will learn simple words of another language creating a mini children dictionary.Represent some famous children stories or poetry written by pupils in English.
Step4: In May describe their national symbols and their famous personalities.
Step 5: In June share children songs and children games.Pupils will sing European Hymn in their own language and in English.
Step 6: In July an e-book will be created and will be the final presentation on TwinSpace.
Step 7: Project Evaluation and Project Exhibitions
Expected resuls
Pupils exchange information about their respective country through a variety of activities.
-Pupils and teachers discover various cultures,taditions and ways of their fellow European children.
-Pupils increase their understanding of the peculiarities of countries throught Europe, in order to realize that each country is unique and importante and that communication and friendship are invaluable.
-Will be more reflective about their belief, religious and their culture.
-Enhanched skills in foreign language communication.
-Enhanched skills in ICT.
-Create their documents/files about topics that will be gradually established.
-Pupils will gain on international outlook and develop the skills they need for life and work in and increasingly interconnnected global society.
