Dear partners,
When designing the Learn Civic&Act project, I wanted to use participative methods like educational drama and developmental bibliotherapy to make Civil Education more interactive for my students and all the partner schools. However, as important as it is to learn about the rights and duties of every citizen, it is even more important to ACT in your own community. That is why I am inviting you all to think of a way you can participate actively in your own community (school, local community, city), whether it is by volunteer work or by passing your knowledge on to others. I hope you will enjoy this activity even more than the others we did in this project!

Dear partners,
Regarding the action of Portuguese students in the community it will be in participation of a large Convention Multidisciplinary Education to be held on 30th April and 1st and 2nd May at the Multipurpose Hall of Gondomar: http://www.cme-gondomar.pt/
In that Convention, the students, accompanied by teachers responsible for the project, invigorate a stand where they´ll disclose the project "Learn & Civic Act" and also the previous project, "Express Yourself" (which won the national award eTwinning 2014), so promoting the inclusion of children and young people with Special Educational Needs, to show their commitment and their ability to work as part of European projects. Also they ´ll disclose the eTwinning students and teachers of all schools of our county that will visit the stand, showing its potential and benefits
Comment: We think you April 30 awaits a big deal, you and us, because you represent yourself, us ,the importance of active participation, but mostly because you show how ideas are realized .Good luck ! We keep our fingers crossed! (OŠ dr. Vinka Žganca, Zagreb)
And here we are on the first day of the convention. This is our stand.

Comment: Both are great ways to ACT. You have both chosen a very good way to get many people involved - insiders and outsiders. Congratulations!!! Käthe-Kollwitz-Schule, Issum

DEAR PARTNERS,
we also ACTed! We went out to the village and cleaned all the corners where people - and not only pupils - tend to just drop their waste.
Near bus stops we picked up dozens of cigarette butts. In the beginning it felt a bit strange to go round and pick up waste, especially as it is often used as a punishment for youngsters who are punished for minor offences. Of course a lot of people noticed and wondered what we were doing and why. An elderly lady who went by with her wheeled walker stopped and thanked us for our efforts, she was very impressed that we did it voluntarily. That was really encouraging!
Have a look at all the pictures in our album "German Team"!!!!
