  • GOOGLE SITE ABOUT NINETEENTH CENTURY MIGRATION FROM ITALY TO THE "Merica"

    "It was called the "Merica"....

    Italian students from G.B.Basile school near Naples created a Google site about nineteenth century migration from Italy to America. Poor people from poor regions of Italy, above all South of Italy, emigrated in North of America to search "good luck". They were very often discriminated and they didn't integrate themselves with american persons. 

    Italian students searched about this topic very close to them and created this Google site. It remains open because it could be completed or translated in English language by other students or my students during next school year.

    It is important to compare own problem, own prejudices with last ages. .....History teaches!
