I created an event and one page “Winter clothing, school supplies and toys for young refugees in Grevena”, because:
Recently Syrian refugees came in Grevena and they are accommodated in hotels in mountain communities (up to 1600 meters altitude), the majority of them are young children (their number will reach around 600 persons, according to embodiments of the High Commissioner of the United Nations). These people are in urgent need of winter clothing, school supplies and toys. The sixth class of the 2nd primary school Grevena is going to collect winter clothes, school supplies and toys for the younger refugees in Grevena as an activities within the eTwinning program, entitled: «The swallow is a refugee or an immigrant?». Those who want to offer winter clothing, school supplies or toys can send them to:

Six primary schools and six kindergartens of the Municipality of Umbria Italy send 50 pounds winter clothes and 5kg school supplies and toys for the little Syrian refugees Grevena.
More specifically: In the context of eTwinning and the event we organized for winter clothes collection, school supplies and games "Winter clothing, school supplies and toys for young refugees in Grevena.", At the initiative of the teacher partner elementary school "San Filippo" International primary School, Andrea Menella, students from six primary schools and six kindergartens of the Municipality of Umbria Italy gathered and sent 50 pounds winter clothes and 5kg school supplies and toys for the little Syrian refugees Grevena. Note that on the initiative of Andrea Menella, we have already sent 50 euros which we bought medicines given to refugees.

"Hello, Argirios!
Today we have sent a parcel to your school.
It weigths less than 6 kgr. but it's full of love and support for the young refugees in Gravena. I didn't want to waste too much money, either.
The parcel contains some winter clothing, some sweets, a bag of red beans from Spain (really good) and, what it's more important, almost 50 messages from my pupils for the refugees in Gravena. All this week (17th.-21st october) they have been writing their messages for your event. I hope you like it.
I'd like that you could send me some pictures of the messages when they reached the young refugees, if possible. At least, please, send us some photos showing that our gifts have been received there.
This activity (we sending the parcel to you) is part of another eTwinning project we're involved: Mr. Bean, Mrs. Lentil and their Tiny Peas. We're sowing beans and working on food, nutrition and solidarity too.
