First pupils meeting in Madona, Latvia, 23.-27.01.2017

EN: Our school took part in the project in the Latvian town of Madona. The project aimed at crosscountry skiing took place at school and mainly at the local biathlon stadium where courses of crosscountry skiing with the trainer of the national team Dainis Vuskans and races at the end of the week were held. During the project we attended several seminars in which we learnt how to learn the crosscountry skiing correctly and how to do it with the correct technique. We also experienced one day at school, we participated in classes and together with chosen Latvian students and other participants of the project we played floorball, basketball and volleyball. Parts of the project were tours of historic centres of Riga and Madona, too. In the capital city of Riga we saw for example the oldest Building of Three Brothers, the Church of Saint Peter, the Freedom Monument, the Building of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, the Church of Saint James, the Music University and the Castle of the President. In Madona we were shown their speciality – the manufacture of sweets where we could make our own lollipops and taste handmade sweets. During the week we saw several performances of the students from the local school (national dances, singing …), together with our lecturer we played knowledge games and we attended a lesson of crosscountry skiing at the gymnasium of the school. We stayed at wooden cottages directly at the biathlon stadium where we had a two-phase training with teachers and the trainer Dainis nearly every day. In the end we travelled to Riga and flew home. Good-bye and we are seeing each other at the next project meeting in Poland, where swimming is trained, and in Finland, where we are playing ice-hockey.

CZ: Naše škola se zúčastnila projektu v lotyšském městě Madona. Projekt zaměřený na běžkování se konal ve škole a hlavně na místním biatlonovém stadionu, kde probíhaly kurzy jízdy s lotyšským trenérem národního mužstva Dainisem Vuskansem a koncem týdne i závody. Během projektu jsme zažili několik seminářů, jak se správně učit běžkové lyžování, a jak jezdit správnou technikou. Také jsme zažili den ve škole, byli jsme zařazeni do výuky, a spolu s vybranými lotyšskými studenty a ostatními účastníky projektu jsme hráli florbal, basketbal a volejbal. Součástí projektu byla také prohlídka historického centra Rigy a Madony. V hlavním lotyšském městě Rize jsme si prohlédli například nejstarší budovu Tři bratry, kostel sv. Petra, Pomník svobody, Dům Černohlavců, kostel sv. Jakuba, Univerzitu hudby a Hrad prezidenta. V Madoně nám také ukázali jejich specialitu - výrobnu na bonbóny, kde jsme si mohli vlastnoručně udělat lízátka a ochutnat ručně dělané cukrovinky. Během týdne jsme zažili také několik vystoupení studentů z místní školy (ukázku národních tanců, zpěv, …), spolu s lektorkou jsme hráli poznávací hry a zažili jsme hodinu přípravy na běžecké lyžování v tělocvičně školy. Ubytováni jsme byli v dřevěných srubech přímo na biatlonovém stadionu, kde jsme téměř každý den absolvovali i dvoufázový trénink spolu s učiteli a trenérem Dainisem. Pak už nás čekala pouze cesta zpátky do Rigy a let zpět domů. Na shledanou a uvidíme se na příštím projektovém setkání, a to v Polsku, kde budeme trénovat plavání, a ve Finsku, kde si zahrajeme hokej.
