We learned greek sayings,brainteasers and compound words related to fishes
We made a poster with traditional Greek dishes with fishes and sea food
We had a lot of fun by fishing!!
but we also learned a lot about magnetism and furthermore we had the chance to practice in mathswhile the children compared and counted the fishes they caught!
Finally we bought fishes and we made a fish soup with onions, potatoes, carrots, olive oil and a lot of lemon juice!!

First of all, we talked about sea life. We wrote down a list with our ideas, based on animals that live in a sea/river (brainstorming).
Afterwards, we tried to find some fish/ sea food between our toys! When we found them, we played a sense game (touch). We closed our eyes and then we tried between cubes the hidden fish/ sea food (easy level). For some students this game was too easy so we replaced the cubes with other plastic animals (hard level). It was a great activity, because when the player couldn't find the animal, he/she asked for instructions given from his/her classmates!
Moreover, we observed different kind of videos connected with sea life and we learned the fish/sea food that live in our country.
After the presentation, we voted for our favorite fish/sea food and we counted the votes, while indicating the biggest amount. "Gavros" was the winner!
We also played a game that Eleni Tsirgioti and our friends from all day class created and we had an amazing fun, while fishing! We used this activity to wrote down our score and afterwards we compaired them using math symbols <,>,=.
Furthermore, we learned about the circle of life of a fish or a mammal. We talked about their food chain and we categorized our fishes in two big groups (vertebrate, invertebrate).
As a closure, we connected fish and sea food with Art. So, we observed a variety of paintings, such us Picasso, Klee etc related to our theme. Afterwards we presented the painting of Paul Klee "Golden Fish" and we created our masterpieces!
Finally, the fisherman visited our school and we bought some fishes to cook a fish soup!
HEALTH GAME-PENGUIN
Our penguin is eating our names! Every fish has a letter. We use the correct letters-fishes to create our name and we feed our penguin!
