4.NOVEMBER-INTERNATIONAL PETS TEAMS Activity No 4

  • As we have 9 different groups of pets we have oranised our students into 9 teams according to pets they have got. The students work under a teacher's supervision.

After talking to the students, teachers divide them into groups and fill in the correct table. A teacher coordinator and students work collaboratively using for example an online document, a chat in LIVE section.

    1) The first activity to do in groups will be describing pets (body parts, colour, size, adjectives) and making a passport of a pet.

In teams prepare All about.... section devoted to your pet. In this section students in your team write some general information about a pet, like: Is it a mammal or not? Is your pet a carnivore, herbiviore or omnivore? etc. You can present a list of breeds of your pet. The students make a passoprt of their own pets, too. The final result of this task can be a presentation, an infographic, a poster, an electronic book. Sky is the limit.

The teacher coordinators can use a few ways to communicate with students in their teams,e.g. google docs (teachers can add a link to the document on a pet subpage of INTERNATIONAL PETS TEAMS page). Moreover, there are threads devoted to pet teams in FORUMS section at the top of this page. The teachers can organise a chat, too. A good way to collect students' work is Pearltrees or My Drive.
