    Roscón de Reyes Recipe (Spanish Kings’ Cake) - CEIP Argana Alta

    Inside this traditional cake there are different little figures or objects that are baked inside. Normally, at least two different objects can be found in the cake—a black bean (or an haba) and something that represents the king. The person who eats the slice of cake with the king is the ‘king for the day’ whereas the person who gets the haba has to pay for the cake the following year.

    The Trucha de batata is a sweet recipe typical of the Canary Islands that is usually cooked especially at Christmas time. They are individual sweet pasties, filled with sweet potato and almonds, and seasoned with matalauva, cinnamon, lemon zest and aniseed liqueur.

    Χριστουγεννιάτικα σπιτάκια με πτι-μπερ
    Υλικά
    11 μπισκότα ΠΤΙ ΜΠΕΡ (από 1 πακέτο)
    Πολύχρωμες καραμέλες μικρές
    Για το γλάσο διακόσμησης
    2 μεγάλα αυγά μόνο τα ασπράδια
    330 γραμμάρια ζάχαρη άχνη
    2 κουταλάκια γλυκού λεμόνι
    1 κάψουλα βανίλιας
    Χρώμα ζαχαροπλαστικής πράσινο, κόκκινο.
    Για την σύνδεση των μπισκότων
    1/2 φλυτζάνι ζάχαρη κρυσταλλική.
