Ponta Delgada (Azores)
The tsunami triggered by the eruption of a volcano in Tonga, in the Pacific Ocean, caused sea level changes in Portugal. In our city, Ponta Delgada (AZORES) the highest amplitude signal was about 40 cm. This information was published at local Newspaper Açoriano Oriental. We visited one of our favorite places and very close to our school, about a kilometer away, and we made a short video in which it is possible to see the sea jumping to the towel area where we used to lie down to sunbathe...
