FAQS

  • What will be the first steps to start the project?

First, fill in the inscription form; even you don’t have your work ready. We need your details for different purposes. 1. We would like to add your name in the list of participants in the blog. We want to cheer up the participants schools by making visible their names. We will share it in Facebook and twitter too.

Which concrete activities for pupils could I suggest my colleagues?

This can be a place where you can learn how to design video games, animation, record your own music, creating your own photographs, playing and exploring with apps, and much more you can imagine. this page can be an inspiration; http://www.digitalartsonline.co.uk/

We will try to be creative around a theme: the bridges.

Bridges can be bounds, they join the invisible and visible worlds. They are also part of our cities. An architectural beauty.  Some of them with historical anecdotes that can be relevant to include in our educational projects too. And what about the language? English nursery songs like "London Bridge" or stories such as "The three billy goats gruff" can be included if we are exploring the world or language learning for example. Knowing that learning world language at an early age enhances linguistic ability overall, the central goal of Bridges is to ignite interest in learning about different languages and cultures and inspire children to pursue both with excitement and enthusiasm all their lives.

Poetry and art can give us the possibility to have a different view on bridges.

Our idea is to promote Digital Art through the new technologies; the first subject we choose to start with is THE BRIDGE. It can be in a way as a metaphor bridges (symbolic ones) that can be real, engineering works as geographic places, hanging bridges, etc. How would the children or students re-interpretate or re-imagine those bridges. Or in which way we travel on them. The sound they make; steps or means transport can create specifics sounds that are part of the building.

Can you tell me some examples? Which tools can I use?

    Art of sounds

    The use of Apps

    Photographs or video making

    Animation (stopmotion)

    Photo Collages

    Illustrator

We are you going to show the results?

We will publish in twinspace and at the blog

    http://intrepidartinternacionalaravaca.blogspot.com.es/

    How will the schools collaborate?

There are two ways of collaboration:

1- You can do your own work and just send it through email and it will be publish on the blog.

2- You can work with us or you can work with another school which you find more approachable. This means that between two schools via email you can get into different agreements about the way you would like to work. As you can see the topic its open to different perspectives or ideas, so any suggestions or idea will be fine as long as you use the new technologies in your project.

Which topics have to be coordinated?

We haven't established any type of coordination; the idea is to learn together. To create a way in which we can ask to each other when is needed.

At the moment we will put results or different processes on the blog we will learn together. We are sure new questions will arrive. But together we will find creative solutions.

Janet Val Triboullier and Sara Priede are teachers responsible of this idea our mail is; intrepidart@internacionalaravaca.edu.es

As soon you have an idea and after you fill the inscription form we will need a brief text telling something about your project. What did you do? Why? Age of the children?  If you got inspired on a digital artist? Name him or her. Which were the tools you used? Feel free to tell us your experience!!!

Can you tell me a little bit about the activities for the project which you are going to do in your lessons?

Some Teachers and students are going to doodle on top a photograph of a bridge; others will do different art actions on a bridge that will be filmed or photographed.

Our infant school, at the International Aravaca in Madrid, is going to work on different projects this term; one of them will be Architecture, the idea is to learn about bridges and buildings. Shapes, maths, specific vocab on buildings materials and cities, collaborative thinking etc.

There is another point of view that can be included: stories, rhymes, poetry, songs, etc. Literacy is always welcome.

In which language we should express? What the language of the project?

The main languages are Spanish and English. If you feel that you need to express in your mother tongue It can be okay. But It will be preferable to use both at least in the blog: mother tongue and English. Or mother tongue and Spanish.

For Twin Space will be more in English.
