Project on Bridges and Digital art - Intrepidart-

  • Welcome to our first encounter of educational proyects where the digital art will be our tool of expression. The International Aravaca School presents: The first edition whose theme is centered on "The Bridges" as main topic.

    This is a educational multidisciplinary  project, where any school, preschool to college, can participate.


    The classroom can be a place to explore the bridges, to understand them from
    different perspectives, to know what they are made of or how we can walk on them or how we can transform them....etc. We invite you to make this your place to share your experience related to bridges and present your project using new technologies. 


     Our aim with this project is to create ''bridges'' with the educational community on-line.  This will be your blog, your place where we will share our experiences and show your artworks on digital art. A place for learning together and sharing network.

    We invite you to re-design, re-draw or re-create, the BRIDGE as a main subject. Bridges that can be real, engineering works as geographic places, hanging bridges, etc.

    The most poetic or metaphoric bridges can be the ones that join the school with the families, In any case, the bridge as a symbol, as the tie that bind us together. It could be links  with other schools or other places or between peers; for example: What are the links with the earth, the water and the plants that surround us?

    Or some other bridges, works of artists as Van Gogh, Claude Monet or Munch, how would be your re-interpretation of those bridges?

    The bridges are associated with expansion. It is those hands that tend to unite visible and invisible worlds. Can it be places that face the world? How can it be the path for them? Is it a meeting place?

    These questions, as many others, can be expressed using technological media we have in the classroom. New technologies, especially those in network are the sources that can vary the ways to make and express themselves.

    Our philosophy: from the different possible workshops with the technological tools that each school has, can create new perspectives that affects and influence our learning. Photographic narratives, audiovisual workshops animation, soundscapes, poetry workshops, visual poetry and literature, etc.

    This, by itself can be define as an artistic practice within the movement of digital arts. In the meantime, we invite you to play, explore and participate. This can be the place to show your art work proposals related to the bridge that bind us.
