Project results/outcomes & Legacy (includes our Eco Clubs ~ Photo Album)

  • The results/outcomes of "Eco-Herit@ge Matters" were outstanding and exceeded the set objectives.

    • Firstly, there was the emotional link created between the students and the spirit nurtured by the teachers: as members of the "Eco-clubs", the students acquired and promoted an ecological culture within the school and local community through concrete actions, which can be see in several pages of this TwinSpace. They commited to the project's objectives and gained a sense of belonging both to the local and the European Community.
    • Secondly, lessons gained a much more dynamic flow, with a lot of debate, group work, brainstorming, filming, collaborating and using alternative methods and different types of assessment, especially at English, Citizenship, Art, History, Geography and PE, as mentioned in other pages.
    • Thirdly, the students and the teachers learnt many things in a much more engaging way, developed soft skills and worked collaboratively and interdisciplinary, and that shows in the evaluation made by both parts.
    • Fourthly, the school had some visibility through the products created and shared on the media and, most of all, the mobilities, both as hosts and as guests. The parents got much more involved with their children’s education and development. The project’s objectives were fully achieved, as it involved all the students in ways that allowed them to show their own “extra” skills: drawing, outdoor activities, ICT, dancing, taking photos, assessing, editing, reading, thinking critically, recording videos, singing, voice-recording, writing questions, communicating, interviewing, translating, to name but a few.
    • All partners are still surprised and ecstatically happy with the fact that we managed to “fool” Covid and complete all 5 mobilities in such a successful way. The project was wide-ranging and involved the entire local community, from families to local authorities and associations. The project’s assessment by teachers, managers and students took place through video testimonials, reports and questionnaires. The dissemination was carried out through various means, as shown on the TwinSpace page and on our Project Website.

Here's a Photo Album of our Eco-Clubs, the Plogging-Bags created by them and which were used in each mobility, and some of the Project's Legacy:
