Our project work in April consisted of music and movement activities. Music and dance were the areas where my students expressed themselves most comfortably. Because they love to dance and sing songs about certain days and weeks. We sang with my students to the accompaniment of music and danced individually and as a group. We accompanied the music by holding the rhythm with our hands. We watched the Karagöz and Hacivat play and had a lot of fun laughing at their speeches. We played with puppets. We played piano online. We learned to play the notes and a piece by playing the melody. This month's activities helped my students express themselves.

    Body Percussion

    What is Body Percussion?

Body percussion refers to the sounds which are made by body parts such as the hands, feet, fingers, and mouth. The body is used as an instrument, to produce rhythmic sounds.

It may be used on its own, or along with music and dance.

There are four main sounds that can be produced with body percussion:

    • Clapping and tapping
    • Stamping (or stomping)
    • Patting and slapping
    • Snapping (or clicking)
