Aim Of Project & Curriculum

  • The main aims are :
    - communicating between different countries across Europe.
    -getting to know what do the children learn about in different countries.
    - developing empathy/respect for nature and its beauty
    - exchanging of experiences between schools from different European countries.
    Other aims:
    - developing childen's creativity
    - increasing the child's motivation to learn a foreign languages
    - improving English and ICT skills
    - learning by doing, exploring nature
    -developing the ability to cooperate in groups

    - developing mathematical skills (Autumn coding)

    Discussion about weather in many countries

     

    Chidren observe weather ( 2 weeks)

    They use some tools like thermometers  and measure temperature every day.

    They learn weather words in English and use them in project.

    Students create weather calendars ( teams projects) in schools

    Students watch other countries weather calendars, they disscuss where the weather is the warmest ? , where is the coldest? , where is rainy or windy? . They discover differences and similarities between weather in other countries.

    Learning autumn words in many languages

    This is students’ work.Students make autumn dictionary together - one ebook is made by many students from different countries.  Children present  autumn words doing posters and use English and national languages . They teach other students new autumn words in their languages.

     

    Students watch autumn dictionary and discover which words are similar?, which are different?  They develop languages skills.

    English leaves’ Words

     

    Students (schools will be divided into teams- 3-4 schools).It means 3-4 schools present the same leaf for example maple leaf.  They go outside a school and collect leaves around them. They discover and name leaves. They learn leaves and trees in English.

    They make leaves’ posters

    Collaborative Leaf ebook will be created.

    Children watch leaves  in ebook collected by students from their group and other ones. They discover similarities and differences for example some leaves don’t grow in Poland or in Turkey where the climate is warmer.

    Thanks to team work they remember that some trees/leaves are the same in many countries but in others different. For example in Poland there aren’t orange’s leaves or olive’s leaves.

    Students work in  school/classes’ teams. They create one story together. Children read first part of story and create next one. They use brainstorm method to use their ideas in the story. Young children make pictures , older students type or write parts of story. Finally they learn whole story made by all project’s children.
