About The Project

  • About The Project:

Our project tries to unite three conceptions of working the performing arts with people with functional diversity or disabilities. As a therapeutic tool, as an instrument for social inclusion and as a quality show. For us teachers it is essential to provide our students with a way to put at their disposal a therapeutic tool that helps them express their emotional world, their ability to communicate, their social skills, their knowledge of their own body. At the same time, this activity contributes powerfully to the educational aspect, both from the point of view of social integration and individual growth. Also working on integration and inclusion aspects that our students need so much. The performing arts are an integrating and inclusive element. And, finally, that our young people enjoy the creation of the performing arts and carry out artistic activities with no other pretense than creating spectacle.

    Aims:

The application of these objectives presupposes that our students will be able to acquire key competencies and skills for their personal development. The professionals of the associated centers can enrich their professional profile by incorporating the methodologies acquired in the project. Our students can get inclusion quotas in the field of art. Our students can enjoy art with artistic manifestations made in other countries promoting European citizenship. Our students can increase their key competencies for a more developed autonomy.

    Work Process:

All associated centers meet the condition of being specific special education centers or have students with functional diversity enrolled in their centers.
Have had experiences in performing arts and of course be motivated to work in the guidelines set in the project.
Students and professionals from all partner centers of the project will participate in the project.
The teachers and educators of the centers will have an active participation, carrying out the elaboration of all the planned didactic methodological activities and putting them into practice, participating in the coordination meetings, in the training activities, in the observation activities in other centers and in all the events planned for the implementation of the project. Each host center will launch a course or workshop on performing arts and functional diversity, taught by an association or expert speaker on the subject.

    Expected Results:

Yes, we want to create a public TwinSpace that disseminates our work and creates synergies in the creation of performing arts groups in the world of functional disabilities.
We want the centers that serve special education students to collaborate in the enrichment of work methodologies with our students.
And finally show our artistic manifestations made with our students as an example that they can also get jobs with creativity.
