    TEACHING CIVIC EDUCATION

    THROUGH ETWINNING

In Italy in 2019 CIVIC EDUCATION has been introduced as compulsory teaching, as a separate subject of the compulsory curriculum at primary and secondary level. At least 33 hours must be dedicated to the transversal teaching ‘civic education and must be taken from the compulsory timetable of the other subjects.

Pupils and students at all levels will be assessed as for the other subjects.

The Ministry of education has issued a specific decree with guidelines and invited to focus on the Italian Constitution, national institutions, the EU and international institutions, education to digital citizenship, bullying and cyberbullying, basics of law, environmental education, sustainable development, education to legality.

So WE CHOOSE HAPPINESS project has become the subject matter of 3 of the subjects of our school curriculum in Human Sciences

    1.English

    2.Communication Studies

    3. Law

    1. ENGLISH has been the language of communication of the project, but in the activities we are going to present we have also preserved the ITALIAN LANGUAGE in the line of a MULTILINGUAL APPROACH

    2. COMMUNICATION STUDIES is a class in which sudents, through a workshop mode, make experience of ICT tools and cooperative work, so eTwinning project fits perfectly with it

    3. LAW classes are of great help in order to answer to a fundemental question:

    IS HAPPINESS A RIGHT ?

is it written in our Italian constitution?
