Dealing with copyright issues with a practical activity + project evaluation
During the lesson we watched a video about plagiarism and copyright and used our smarphones and tablets to create fake breaking news using copyright free pictures to be uploaded on a wakelet. All the material is found on a Google Classroom task. We also did the project evaluation with Survey Monkey.

Sharing ideas and opinions about social media and disinformation
Online meeting with class 4A of eTwinning School "IIS Galileo Galilei" High school with their teacher Ms Rita Ogliari. They introduced their eTwinning project "Te@ch with Tech" and we talked about our project on fake news and the final collaborative step. They showed us interesting examples of disinformation and fake news and the results of a survey submitted in their school about use of social media. A discussion about how teenagers use social media followed.
At the end of the videoconference we did a Mentimeter survey using our smartphones.
28th April 2021 (English)
Getting ready for the final step of the project.
We read Isabelle's useful tips on how to write an article and also watched these videos to highlight the visual and content features of news articles. We also enjoyed listening to the different accents in the videos, too.
We also collected some examples of articles and identified features.

Art lesson on advertisement and public service announcement and planning of activities. We worked on this topic with creation of original ads and posters until end of May.

Finally we suggested some topics for FAKE NEWS writing in the shared Google Documents shared for each international team.

How can we stop it from spreading?
3) We liked the C.R.A.P. strategy to spot FAKE NEWS:
C.R.A.P. test
C current. Is the news old?
R reputable. Is the article from a reputable site?
A author. Who wrote the article?
P purpose of point of view. Is the article trying to sell or convince?
The best advice is to:
Be critical
Use your common sense
In case of doubt do some sleuthing (careful investigation)
Don’t make, share, send or like FAKE NEWS
Beware of the clickbaits
Always cross-check

Activity on Classroom (Gsuite for Education)
We did brainstorming on a Jamboard and tried to define the meaning of FAKE NEWS analysing each word.
During our online lesson we answered these Google Forms Questions about FAKE NEWS and TIPS FOR A STRONG PASSWORD.
