  • PROGRAMME FOR HIH TTLA, SHORT-TERM EXCHANGE WITH PUPILS,

    Saarbrücken, Germany, 4th TO 8th  June 2018

     

    Monday: 7.30/7.40 am teachers are waiting in front of their hotel/Nauwieser 50 apartment to be picked up by Cindy/Xhulia and taken to school. 08.00 am meeting at school – information material - getting to know each other – cooperation games – 10.00 visiting our neighbouring school "Willi-Graf-School" -  presentation about the confessional private school system in Germany -11.30 art workshop “friendship wall – lunch at Bursa Kebab - sightseeing tour Saarbrücken - town rallye for the kids – finishing about 5.00 pm - dinner at 8.00pm for the teachers reservation made at Stiefel Restaurant Saarbrücken

    Tuesday: Cindy and Xhulia are picking up the teachers again - 8.00 am meeting at school - 9.30 – 10.00 Reception at town hall by our mayor Charlotte Britz - back to school: visiting lessons: exchange of good practice - workshop "soap" – 12.00 lunch at Mongolian Restaurant- 14.00 trip to a celtic village in the Saarland and fun activity for the kids – returning to Saarbrücken about 6.45 pm - teachers free for dinner

    Wednesday: 8.00 am meeting at school – 9.00 Mr Will’s Musical Welcome – official welcome to our guests by our headmistress (if you would like to give her a present, that’s the chance) – diashow “Precious moments" – students interviews – 11.30 special needs “Hands in Hands" lessons/cooperation games in the school yard – lunch package – 14.00 afternoon trip to Kirkeler Burgsommer with activity workshops – returning to Saarbrücken about 6.00 pm – students are invited to a barbecue at Aldina’s house – teachers are free for dinner

    Thursday: 10.00 departure (due to oral exams which I have on this day early in the morning) - day trip to Trier, lunch packages, visiting the eldest Roman Gate in Germany and the Karl Marx Statue… picnic dinner in Trier – returning at 8.00 to Saarbrücken

    Friday: 8.00 Activities at school – 12.00 lunch at Cindy’s mother’s restaurant - afternoon free for teachers – 18.00-21.00 evening farewell party at school with diashow certificates, a special cake and international food presented by our guest parents.

     

    The participants of the TTLA in Germany had an opportunity to:

    - attend lessons and learn through games

    - attend activity with the special needs students

    - get the insight of the German school system

    - attend a creative workshop: colouring the friendship wall  (hands in hands games)

    - attend creative games  which help to improve  solidarity and socialization

    - develop international and European dimension of  education

    - support the development of the key compentences as defined in the European Reference Framework

    - aquire the knowledge about German cultural heritage, history, tradition

    The Poland team presented the „Hands in Hands“ magazine 3rd edition and the Romanian team presented the „Hands in Hands“ magazine 4th edition.

    The  Turkish team presented the European Project Diary (pages created by Turkish teachers and students) and "Hands in Hands" magazine 5th edition.

    The coordinators and teachers from the partners' countries discussed and agreed about the  responsibilities of project's members about completion of the project. They discussed  about preparations for the TPM in Turkey.

    The students had an opportunity to: participate in  workshops based on games,  take a part in games played hands in hands, learn the drama techniques , develop their social sensitivity for students with special needs, , improve their language skills, compete in international teams, learn about German school system, learn about German cultural heritage, history, tradition and everyday life in host families, develop tolerance and solidarity among nations.

    The German partners achieved all project's objectives.
