4. Challenges unveiled:challenges arrived via "RoyalMail"

  • Most students are not used to receiving letters or mail nowadays. We wanted to make use of this "old fashioned"  way of sending the challenges proposed to students. The surprise factor was great! They were eager to have their envelopes and open them. Now they have started using Twinspace forum and questioning themselves about how to start and organize their tasks. We have tried to follow PBL five main rules:

    - Provide an open-ended question, in this case a "mysterious news article" related to their schools

    - Engage them by creating curiosity

    - Aligning it to the learning goals, mainly fostering communication in a foreign language competences and key competences.

    - It is a non-googeable task

    - It provides different ways of participation to foster mixed abilities students inclusion

This activity tries to promote effective collaboration among the international members of each team not only during school lessons but also during after school hours.
