Bury St Edmunds County Upper School

  • Bury St Edmunds County Upper School is a co-educational state funded school admitting pupils in the age range 13 to 19.  It is part of an “All-through” trust which provides seamless education from 4 to 19.  The school currently has 990 pupils.  County Upper admits pupils from a wide catchment including some of the most impoverished local areas.  Pupils include a high percentage of those on pupil premium and students with designated special ducational needs. 

    The school is currently rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted.  It is designated teaching school which involves the training and development of new teachers. The school faces challenges in integrating students with low study skills and various social backgrounds, including immigration problems. So we are very interested in the results concerning this special target group.
