    OUR VIRTUAL COMPANY

    Last September our school arranged the third meeting of the Erasmus+ project “European Teenage Consumers in a Globalized World”.

    We met our partners coming from Germany, Italy and Sweden and all together took part in some group activities.

    During our workshops we were engaged in some research, discussions, movie making, logo designing and PowerPoint presentations.

    The group I worked in had to make a PowerPoint presentation on healthy and unhealthy vegetable oils.

    My group was made up of me and three schoolmates of mine, two Italian girls, a girl from Sweden and a German one. The representatives of the schools involved in the project were mainly girls.  

    I remember that the project was not very simple at the beginning. Well, honestly, we did not even have any idea of how to proceed. There was a bit of confusion and misunderstanding initially: everyone had a different idea, but finally we solved the problems and produced some very good ideas.  

    The presentation went very well despite the fact that we had run out of time, since it took hours before we finally decided what had to be done. I was very happy and satisfied with the results and I guess everyone was too. I think that it was a great experience because, first of all, we spent some good time with our foreign partners.

    It was funny when we went into the classroom and our Italian friends were amazed because of the amount of technology we have in our school, while on the other side a girl from Sweden claimed that our computers are outdated and that they are not very fast.

    In addition to this, I believe that the project was very helpful. After this experience we improved our skills regarding team work. We had to collaborate with people who work in a very different way and it was not easy to arrange everything in a short time.  

    This was definitely an experience that’s going to help us one day. I think that in the future we’ll certainly have to face similar situations either at university or at work considering that the world is becoming every day, more and more technological, multilingual and globalized.
