This experience was unique, it allowed us to meet new people even during those weird times. I will remember it, especially since we worked about new fields, and discovered new ways of working.

Geocity has given us numerous projects to transport the beauty of mathematics into our daily lives (even if it is always there). In addition, thanks to the project we were able to learn more English by sending each other letters and messages through our social networks like instagram. One moment that I remember quite happily was when we were asked to answer the question "Why do you like mathematics?" And I found the answer of one of my French classmates very funny and somewhat creepy: "When I do maths, it's like I'm gazing in the eyes of God, it's like he's giving me hints about how He made the world we live in!” Apart from making videos so french people could learn more about the island, and we about Autun, the most important project was the creation of a tourist guide. We focus more on places within the municipality of Arrecife. This, without a doubt, was my favourite activity. We were able to observe beautiful places and on top of that to see their respective geometry. It was a great experience and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking part.

Throughout the course the project has seemed to me quite important for our cultural, linguistic and social learning. In addition, we have made new friends with people from another country.Of course, this has made us interested in a new language, give much more importance to another country of the European Union and learn from it and its people.  It has also helped in the cooperation and relationship of the students.

This has been the first time that I have done a project of this style, and I liked it a lot and it was entertaining, I liked the new way of meeting people from other places, seeing how they study and what their school is like, I suppose that both countries have learned the way of educating in different places and the way they live. Regarding our experience in this great project, I would like to explain those little details that only we live.To begin with, we can talk about the first day, that illusion when we found out that we would be one of the few groups in the center that had the possibility of working with an institute in France. An institute from which, over time, we realized that we could go very far. And we did continue with that proposal.We began to get to know the French students through letters, in which we were each assigned a partner to whom we would have to write in English. For the first few months it was something new for us, but we started to keep up and get more involved in the work.One day like any other, we received a package, a large package in which his letters came and those candies that nobody liked. Still it was a unique moment, of laughter and emotions, as well as a new experience that few of us had lived before. That moment was one of those that gives you strength to know more and move on.We started with new ideas, we created group videos, where they could get to know us better, our institute, our island. Like us, we got to know them and their great institute.As time passed, the teacher informed us that our project would be taken to a contest, which we had a chance of winning. We decided to put the batteries and do something else, something that will guarantee us to be first.The final project has arrived, the one in which we had to work the rest of the time that was left, we spent days creating those slides and those videos. Despite those stressful days, we managed to do a great job together and of which we are very proud, since we finally managed to win that award.The best thing about this project was not winning the award, it was simply taking with us that experience from which we have learned the importance of cooperation between us, and perseverance in our studies. We also met incredible people, whom we hope to meet in person shortly.

I really enjoyed participating in this interaction between Spanish and French. What was quite interesting about this project was that the only way for us to communicate was to speak in English.  So we were able to improve our level in English while learning the cultures of other people.  I thought it was really cool that everyone put their own skills and knowledge into it and that everyone participated.  We all got involved in this project so we can be proud of us. I think if I had to do it again I would do it again with pleasure. To tell the truth, I was even able to learn more about the monuments that surround me and I was therefore able to expand my culture.

I think we're very lucky to have access to this kind of project, because during the pandemic it's a way for us to travel. We meet people online from around the world. It's always a great feeling to make new friends. To communicate with them in english is also the best way to practice english. I am glad I can be a member of this experience.

I found this project, particularly interesting. Coming together around a project allowed us to be able to interact with students from another country and it allowed us to discover a new culture and make friendships. I enjoyed this experience because, first of all, I love meeting new people, even if this time I couldn’t see our spanish coworkers in the real life. Especially for me, it was like travelling during the pandemic because I already went to Lanzarote but I didn’t know everyone from there, and now I can say that I know everything from the Island. It was also the opportunity to increase our english, but what I liked the most was sending and receiving letters (learning to know each other, christmas, Pi Day...)

The project is interesting because it allowed us to talk to new people and get to know them. I loved learning things about another country and also about my onw contry. It was great to see Antun and lanzarote in a mathemetical view, that we do not think about when we see both cities. We all learned a lot, in English and in maths, and we also learned to know each other. I did not know a lot about Lanzarote until this project so it was great learning about the city and the islands.
