"Birds houses" workshops

  • Between lockdowns and COVID-19 restrictions, just at the beginning of Spring, our students had an opportunity to attend "Birds houses and nests" workshop.

The workshop took place in the Botanic Garden which is situated quite nearby, in our city.

We had a great time to walk and discover together with Tomek (ornitologist) and Sylwia (who is a botanic naturalist)!

Look what we have found there:

During a walk we were listening to birds voices and trying to spot the nests on trees.

Children discovered several various bird houses made for different species.

Some of the houses were not actually for birds. Here you can see a shelter for bats...

...and a fairy tale house (where a little shrew has a resting point as well...)

There was also a lovely yellow house that children noticed and observed.

Do you know who lives there?

Among all nests found in a garden one was truly unique.
It was not the bird who made it.

There she is! Can you see? No, not the girl on the right, but... a squirrel!

Soon we will visit this place again to discover more about building nests! Stay tuned!

    Till then ... resting time!
