  • My teenage life in a Third World Country

    MD.Daria

A family from China - I have chosen to visit a family from China because it seems to be very unusual for me their culture. Sometimes I think I could not survive to their habits...But they surprised me being materially poor and having such a beautiful dream to travel all over the world together.

    Ukraine. Anastasia

The Wizilamu family is from Malawi. Nampedi is 70 years old and she is a small scale farmer caring for her three grandchildren: 9-year-old Sitlotha, 10-year-old Sagaman, and 16-year-old Nadi. The Wizilamu family lives in a 1-room house. They own the dwelling and some agricultural land. The house has no electricity, no drinking water, and no toilet. Outdoor toilet facility is shared with other households. It takes 20 hours per week to collect drinking water for the family. The family produces half of their food supplies, while the rest is purchased which costs them 60% of their income. They use wood for cooking in the kitchen. The family’s last vacation was about a year ago, and lasted one day. They have never been outside of Malawi.

    Ukraine, Sonya Gordienko

I was born into a fairly wealthy family in Ukraine, but I wondered, if I lived in Columuia in Collo Ocoro family it would be difficult for me, but I think it would be interesting. There are 4 sisters and 1 brother with you, who are always there. I think I would look for part-time jobs, try to help my mother and siblings. There is not much space and comfortable conditions here, but any grief can be experienced if you are not alone

    Love, Sonya aka Dandelion 🌱

    Nastya Ukraine

hello, my name is Nastya, I live in Ukraine, in Mariupol and today I want to compare my family with family Ramtel, wich live in Nepal. My family is rather big, I have a mother, a rather, a younger sister, a grandmother and a grandfather. Their family consist 2 adults and 3 children. In my family mum and dad are has work, grandma and grandfa are pensioners. So we have more income than family Ramtel, because Saure is unemployed and works temporary jobs, Jaukala a housewife. The family Ramtel lives in a one-bedroom house. The house was offered to them by a welfare organization. They like the quality of the house because of its permanent construction, but they dislike its small size.My family have a big house, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen we have a more modern, comfortable than the their family.I think live in our family better than family Ramtel

    Ukraine, Andrey Masalski

Hi! My name is Andrey. I have got good living conditions. I have time for studying ,going out with friends. But if i was born in family of Chowbhury ,what would be?

The Chowdhury family lives in India. Suresh is 40 years old and is a fruit collector. His wife Basanti is 30 years old and they have 4 children. The family lives in a 1-bedroom house, which is built on encroached land, and they have been living here for 10 years. They are grateful for the house as it is their only shelter, but their biggest issue is the distant water source. Their favorite item in the house is the phone. The next big thing they plan on buying is a plot of land and their dream is to buy a pump for the water borehole.

    Estonia, Karmel-Gretlin

I was born into a wealthy family in Estonia and I live in very good conditions, but not all are this lucky. I have chosen to visit a family from the Philippines. The Limpiado family lives in the Philippines. Basilides and his wife Francisca live with their 2 sons and 2 daughters in a 2-room house. For me, it will be challenging to live with them but it would be very interesting. But still, they live in pretty good conditions. For example, they have safe drinking water and the house has reliable electricity. They hope that one day they will be able to fulfill their dream of buying a lot and a house. I think that the Limpiado family is still very lucky because there are many families who don't have even safe drinking water or reliable electricity.

    Kennert, Estonia

I was born in Estonia. I have never had struggles with getting food or essentials and that had made me privileged. I have always felt bad for people who don't have a roof under their head. The family I'm visiting is from Ethiopia. There are 2 parents and 2 children. The house they're living in has all the things a human being needs: a bed and even a kitchen. The reason why I chose this family was because they look extremely happy despite their everyday struggles they have to go trough. I also love black culture and it would be a pleasure to get to know these kind of people better. The household have chickens which is in my opinion extremely cool because I've never have had ones on my own and getting fresh eggs on a daily basis sounds excellent. Their dream is to buy a motorbike for themselves.

    Madalina, Moldova

My name is Madalina, I'm from Moldova and I decided to compare my family with this family from China. My family is made of 4 members, my mother, father, little sister and me. Their family is made of 4 members too, the parents and their kids, a girl and a boy. We have 3 dogs and a cat, they don't have pets, maybe because they live in an apartment, but we live at a simple house in a beautiful village. I have seen that they have 3 bedrooms, our family has the same. I chose this family because I like their's country traditions, I like the way they live, the way they are happy together. I think that if I was there, following their traditions, lifestyle and learning their language I could live there

    Ukraine, Zaitseva Veronica

I live in Ukraine, I have a wealthy family, I have everything I need for life, and most importantly the Internet and a computer. I have enough food, water, and other human goods. The Idle family lives in Somalia. Amina is a street beggar. While she indicates that 9 people sleep in the home in a regular night, she doesn’t give any detail about her family. She doesn’t list any income. The Idle family lives in a 1-room house, which they own and got built with the help of relatives and friends.

    md.mihaela

I really like Romania. I have long wanted to see how people live in Romania, that's why I chose this family - Bratu members of these families are Dragoș (34 years old and works as a creative director) and Corina (31 years old and works as a strategic planner ) Bratu live in a big and beautiful house. The Bratu family members receive $ 6,256 / month every month. They surprised by their hospitality!

    Ukraine Shabanova Olga

Hi. I am from Ukraine. I have a happy family who lives in a large cozy house. We have all the amenities and communications.Every week I have a weekend, and sometimes my parents have a vacation. Our family lives in abundance and we don't need anything. The Rutiyomba family lives in Rwanda. Juvenal is 60 years old and he is a farmer.Together, the family works for a total of 196 hours/week. The Rutiyomba family lives in a 5-room house, which they own and got built with the help of relatives and friends. The house has no electricity or water and the toilet is outside on their plot. The Rutiyomba family is saving money. They’ve never been on vacation and the furthest they have ever been was Kibuye, Rwanda. The next big thing they plan to buy is building materials for their house.

    uk rashewckaya milana

I live in a good family and don't need anything. In contrast to families from Bangladesh. They have terrible conditions , but they are still happy with the little things.

    MD. SABINA

Hi, my name is Sabina and I live in Moldova. I chose to visit a family in India. I really want to see how they do living in such bad conditions, and also to help them, it's not important what ... clothes, food, household products, at least with something. I feel uncomfortable seeing how they live, and how I live with my family, it's a big difference. My family compared to their family, they live quite well, we have everything. I am sincerely sorry to see that they don't even have a normal house, they don't have anything to eat, what to wear .... Their biggest wish is that one day they can buy a piece of land. That's why I want to visit him, I was impressed by the fact that they was in such a difficult situation, but they love his place and country!

    Ukraine, Bocharova Lera

And as for me, my name is Lera. I study in the eighth form. I have the best friend, it’s a dog, its name is Venya. I like walking with my family in the park. We all like to go to the forest and gather mushrooms and berries together.
I can’t imagine what I would do if I was born in another family. I may say for certain I am happy person in my family. The Paramanik family lives in Bangladesh. Chad Ali is 28 years old and is a farmer. His wife, Monowala, is 25 years old. They live in the family house with their 3 kids and 2 grandparents. Heir house was built with help from their friends and family and it has electricity, but there are frequent power failures. The Paramanik family purchases all their food supplies from the market and spend nearly all of their income on it.

    Rubén Suarez, Spain

My life in Spain is very good If I were a teenager in Somalia and I lived with the Idle family, I wouldn't have any opportunities to study or work on what I like, I wouldn’t have playstation or a big phone, I wouldn’t have good food every day or go a school for work when to get a good job.

I have chosen this photo because when I saw the picture I felt very bad because there are people that doesn’t have much money and have to live in these hard conditions.

    Ukraine Zal Nikita

Hello,i m Nikita. I from Ukrainian. I have big family, five people. I have many friends and i go to school. I live good.

Tarimo family lives in Tanzania. They are 2 adult and 2 children family members. Anjela is 45 years old and she is a homemaker. She lives along with her 3 daughters in a two-bedroom house. They like the size and quality of the house, however, they dislike its location. They are living here because they want to live close to their relatives. Their favourite items in the house are their clothes and mattress. Their dream is to buy a nice cooking stove.

    Spain Julia Aguilera

My life in Spain is very comfortable, and I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Cambodia and I lived with the Thoror family, I wouldn’t have a mobile phone, I would learn to value what I have, I wouldn't have many opportunities...

I have chosen this photo because I didn't imagine that their rooms were like that. I expected them to be a little worse, but they must not be very comfortable.

    Spain, Rocío

My life now is very comfortable but, if I were a teenager in Zimbabwe and I lived with the Antonio family, I wouldn’t have a house with too much resources. I’d probably miss electricity and access to light. Every week, my mother would spend hours collecting water, firewood and doing housework. We would hardly save any money. We probably plan on buying food supplies in places of unnecessary things.

    Spain, Fran Diez

My life in Spain is very comfortable, and I have everything I need. If I were a teeneger in Liberia and I lived with Diez’s family. I wouldn't have the same studies, resources, and the same opportunities. I wouldn’t the very food every day or playstation, wifi or a television

I have chosen this photo because the bathroom share with many people , and the materials is very poor and it is old

    Spain, David Muller

My life in Spain is very comfortable, I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in China and I lived with the Alu’s family, I wouldn’t have the same things, I would change my habits and way of life, I would have different opportunities.

In my daily routine I would have a lot of cereal to eat because my family are farmers. Maybe I wouldn’t go to a good school to learn and have a good future.

    Pedro León-Sotelo

If I were a teenager in Nepal and I lived with Lana’s family my aspects of life would have changed a lot , because in Spain I have everything I need and I want, but in Nepail I wouldn’t have anything that I have, like my mobile phone, my own TV,my own bedroom, my playstation and many things I don't say.
I have chosen this photo because I am impressed where people sleep without money when there are many in the house.

    Ukraine Bogdan Zakrevskyi

May name is Bogdan,l am 13 years old.I live in the city of Mariupol,i live beautifully. The Bibi family lives in India. Abdul Khalid is 40 years old and is a labourer. His wife Chandmori is 30 years old and she is a scrap collector. They have 4 children between 10 and 3 years of age. The family works a combined 212 hours per week. The family has been living for 10 years in a shack constructed by household members. The family likes its location but they are worried about their children because of traffic on the nearby road. There is no electricity, water, or toilet. The family purchases all of their food supplies spending nearly 70% of their income. Food is cooked on a wood-burning stove and collecting firewood takes an hour each day. Collecting safe drinking water requires around 7 hours a week.

    Spain, Javier H

In Spain my life is very nice, I have all I need, but if I were a teenager in Colombia(Medellin), are or much rich or poor. It's luck, it would depend of my family. If I lived with the chosen family, I would be poor, because my mother doesn’t have a good job, and we cannot allow things that are not necessary.

    Ukraine, Shabanova Valentina

Hi. My name is Valya. I'm from Ukraine. I live with my family. my family is very friendly, cheerful and happy. I imagined that if I lived in this family, my life would be different.
The Njoka family lives in Malawi. Saukani is 45 years old and works as an unskilled manual labor. His wife Selina is 40 years old and she works in agriculture. They are parents to 5 children and live with them in a 2-bedroom house. The family owns the house and have been living here for 18 years. Their next big plan is to spend money on building a brick house with cement and iron sheets. Their dream is to one day be able to buy bed sheets.

    Spain- María Espinosa

My life as a member of the Mwe Quidraogo family.

My life in Spain is very easy, because I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Burkina Faso and I lived with the Mwe Quidraogo family, I wouldn’t have anything that I have in Spain like my own bedroom , a mobile phone, a computer, my own bathroom bathroom, a TV, everything to take care of me, a good school...

I have chosen this photo because the toilet it outside the house and it’s rare because I never see this.

    Spain, Cristina Montero

My family in Spain is very comfortable and I have everything I want or everything that I need. If I were a teenanger in China and I lived with the Bianma’s family, I wouldn’t have my computer or my mobile phone, it would be very different than my life right now. It impressed me a lot and make me think about how lucky we are because we can afford everything we need and things that we want.

    Spain - Martina Rodríguez

My life in Spain is very quiet, because luckily I have a good family and I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Haiti and I lived with the Paul family, I wouldn’t have the same things, like a mobile phone, TV, a big house, a computer, a hair straightener, many clothes, a car, a pool, some whims (like candys or food)...

I have chosen this photo because it’s very shocking to see how many people can have this life in this house, it makes me sad.

    Spain, Curro Camacho

In Spain I´m very comfortable because I don't lack anything necessary. If I were a teenager in West Africa in Burkina Faso with the Kabore family I wouldn´t have a lot of things that I have in Spain like: a mobile phone, a computer , a bike , a bathroom , a worktop in the kitchen , a mattress to sleep, a university to study and get a title… I'm very lucky to live where I live.

    Spain, Alba Nieto

My life in Spain is so different from Kamijos's life, because I have all I need. If I were a teenager in China and I lived with the Kamijos's family, I wouldn’t have the same food, I wouldn’t have my own bedroom or bathroom and my life would not be very comfortable . They have only one mobile phone and they don’t have a lot of things like more than one shoe, medications and they only have one soap for all the family.

I have chosen this photo because I think the hygiene is the most important to avoid having diseases and I think it’s very sad that they only have one soap to clean everything, even their body.

    Miguel Julián ,Spain

If I were a teenager in Nicolás's family, I would work hard if I had an illness. We couldn't go to the hospital or the doctor. He would not have time to learn or teach Nicolás's six sisters. We would go every day to take some water for my new family. About the house I would sleep on the floor, my bed would be threaded and I share my bedroom with Nicolas and his sisters.
I have chosen this photo because these are the books Nicolas uses for his education, they are in so bad conditions that some books do not have all the pages, the modern books and tablets or computers in other schools are better than my old books.

    md.adina

Hi,my name is Adina,I'm from Moldova. I chose a family from India because I was impressed by their hope (to buy a plot of land,to have a house with a fountain)....They are satisfied with how little they have. Mr. Suresh travels 2,5 km to bring water to the family...some of us have taps, wells,we dont't go any distance for water and we are not satisfied with that.
I was sad for this family,4 children who do not have electricity, water and the house I live in was built the help of friends... I would be very happy if I could help them with at least something (clothes, fruits and vegetables, the water...)

    Md.Alexandrina

The Njoka family lives in Malawi. The Saukani and his wife Selina have 5 kids. They have a small house with 2 bedrooms and without electricity. They have one hectare of land and family produces all their food needs.Drinking water must be collected from a location about 15 minutes away and they spend 7 hours doing it. I think I could not survive to their habits.
If I could, I would be happy to help.
But they are so strong.Family's dream is to build a brick house with cement. And buy bed sheets.I want their dream to come true.

    uk.alina

Hi, I'm Alina. I am from Ukraine. I live in a happy family, study, develop, but if I lived in the Nyanford family, I would be Teresa's third daughter. We would have to do without electricity, toilet in the house. Our family had to share this toilet with others as it was public. Almost all of my mother's salary was spent on food and there was nothing left for us. Instead of a stove, we use charcoal and cook exclusively on it. Mom in the Nyanford family lives with dreams that one day we will have a large plot with a beautiful home, but does nothing to fulfill her goal.

    Nacho Sobrino, Spain.

My life in Spain is very comfortable and I have all I want. If I were a teenager in Zimbabwe and I lived with the Majuru’s family, I wouldn’t have a toilet or a shower and I would clean my booty with leaves of a bush, I wouldn’t have friends because they live in the middle of the savanna.

I have chosen this photo because I feel so sad when I see that they need to pee and poop in the middle of the savanna and they need to clean with leaves.

    Blanca

If I were a teenager in Colombia and I lived with the Gonzalez Girald. family, I would sleep on a blanket in the floor, not in a bed like here in Spain, i wouldn’t have any cell phone, i would make the food for my family…
Here I have a Dad, in Colombia with these family i would only live with my mother and my brothers. There I wouldn’t take a shower every day and I would help at house more.

I have chosen this photo because, the clothes that they wear, the color skin and the paintings the have in the face catched my attention because it isn’t the characteristics that I usually see.

    Nacho Sánchez, Spain

My life in Spain is so comfortable, and I can’t imagine how it would be in other situations. If I were a teenager in Malawi and I lived with the Njoka family, I wouldn’t have a mobile phone or technology, my own bedroom, a bed, where to go to do my necessity. If my family and I want water we have to spend 7 hours per week, if we are hungry we have to spend 10 hours per week to cook. I wouldn’t travel and go to school.

I have chosen this photo because I compare where I sleep against this and I’m really surprising and disgusting thinking that people sleep comfortable there.

    Spain, Pablo Román

I live in Spain and I have all I need. If I were a teenager in Somalia and I lived with the Idle family, I wouldn't have a lot of needs and things that I have, like have a good house, electricity, have a mobile phone, a family that have a permanent work, a car that I can travel with… Those thinks are common to have in Spain but in other countries like Somalía is an unthinkable thing.

    Spain, Pablo Román

I have chosen this photo because I want to highlight the place where 9 people sleep is a room made of sticks and sheet that seems like it can falls in any moment.

    Spain, Inés Pérez.

If I were a teenager in Haiti and I lived with the Paul Family, I would help my mother with food and water collection and take care of my little brothers. I wouldn’t have many things, I would only have the few clothes that my mother got.

I have chosen this photo because you can see the family and their house from behind, you can also see how run down the house is as much as they are.

    Spain, Zakaria S.

If I were a teenager in Palestine and I lived with the Zyara family, I would be completely different, first of all, I wouldn’t have the same education, and where we get educations are a school, and school is a big part of my life and is on of the main things that made me become who I currently am. I would have suffered a lot because of the circumstances. But, there’s a saying that says “What you don't know can't hurt you”.

I have chosen this photo because I find it really cute how even though they are struggling with their economic status. They still have an animal companion to help with the rough times.

    Spain Ignacio Lloret

If I were a teenager in Zimbabwe and I lived with the Majuru family, I wouldn’t have an education because I couldn’t go to high school or the school, we wouldn’t have money to buy good food, good clothes or maybe a better house with kitchen, bedroom or electricity, I would be a more hard working and humble person to help my family.

I have chosen this photo because when I see it I was very impressed that is the family kitchen and it's made by themselves witch bricks, sticks and straws

    Spain, José Daniel Mediavilla

If I lived in that house, I would be happy on the one hand because although I am in that situation I fear to enjoy my family and my brothers, I would help my mother a lot until the end to be able to live in a better house and even if we are in that house I, my brothers and my family would be happy and we would all play together happily. This photo has impressed me a lot, because I'm not used to seeing that. Luckily I have had parents and siblings and a very good family, who care a lot about me, they feed me every day and are always there for everything, I thank them very much for giving me this life and this family and these parents and brothers are making an effort a lot for us.

    Spain Lucía Maíllo

If I were a teenager in Nigeria and I lived with the Oke family, maybe I were so old and I could start work with my father in house and I would work with my mother too. I would help my parents in house and wile they are working I would take care of my younger brother.

When I saw this picture I was so impressed because it reminds me they the little things that make you happy are so important. They like this sew machine because maybe this article reminds they about good moments that they are never going to forget. This article has a lot of history because it has companied they throughout their lives.

A family from Republic Czech- I chose to visit a family from the Czech Republic because only mother and son live in that family. From what I saw, she is a very strong mother, with beautiful desires, she lives in less favorable conditions, but I could live the same. My attention was drawn to the fact that she also has a library with books, which I liked very much.

    MD.Dan

I chose the Udemba family because it is a very very poor family, in which 8 people live. They live in a house built of wood and clay, they have a roof made of wood and leaves and a floor made of earth.I can't live in such conditions.Their dream is to buy a house of their own and a photographer.

Hi my name is Anghelina. I live in the Republic of Moldova.I mean a poor family in India. The monthly income of this daily of four children and parents is less than $ 50 .They live in a one-bedroom house on deserted land. The family does not have many things but the most expensive thing they consider is a radio. After the Moldovan families they live very poor because in a Moldovan family with four children people receive three times more money. They would like to have a job and a land of their own.

    Spain, Alejandro Navarro

I am Alejandro Navaro. I live in Seville, Spain, and I have everything I need for living a very comfortable life, but if I were a teenager in Burkina Faso and I lived with the Sinare family, I wouldn’t be even half as comfortable. First of all, I would miss all my electronic devices, or even electricity!! Second of all, I don’t have food or water at my disposal so easily, as I would need to walk over to the river and back every day. Third of all, I wouldn’t be able to use all of my comfy furniture, but instead, some rugs on the floor. In conclusion, I am very happy to have been born here in Spain.

    md.dumitrita

I chose this family from Myanmar because I was surprised by the way they live and the income they have. They have a very special way of life and for me it is really unusual. I don't think I could survive in such a house, without electricity, without hot water and without the ones I'm used to. I wouldn't think that when it's cold outside, they have warmth in the room where you sleep. I am glad that I live in the family I am in now and I have all the comforts for a decent life.

If I were a teenager in Mexico in the Ortiz family, I would have some things that maybe other children can’t have, like a big house with four bedrooms, a car, and only my father could be working. The things would be different are, I wouldn’t have brothers, actually I have two and in reality. Also I would have more food and clothes because that family earns more money than mine every month, and in my family we’re more people, so we spend more money than them. I don't think that there are so many things that would change if I’ve been in this family, but I like my family like this.
I have chosen this photo because I think the drink of this country it’s so interesting, it is a mixt of tea and coffee and has I read, this drinks are mostly drinked by rich people in Mexico.

    md.vlad

India is a beautiful country with a long history, but unfortunately people live in different ways. Some live rich and others live poor. I chose this photo because a poor family is less seen and less appreciated. This woman she has an income of $ 31 a month. that means her family doesn't have any good living conditions, they just survive on what little they have. Every man has his life but it's a pity we can't all live the same. just pray for these people.

If I were a teenager in Burkina Faso and I lived with the Karobe family, I wouldn’t have a mobile phone or a good education and I could have to work to get food for my family, I probably wouldn’t do sports or have potable water in my own house.

I have chosen this photo because makes me feel so sad of this family, because think that in that little house they have to live ten people is horrible, I feel ungrateful thinking that my bedroom in my house is little, being bigger than this house.

    Spain, Miguel Rodríguez de Segovia

If I were a teenager in India and I lived with the Chowdhury family, My life would be different in all aspects but especially in the education aspect because they can't go to the school and they can't have a future. Also the routine would be different because in the morning I wake up and I go to School, they wake up and they start working and try to get money to the family. In the afternoon I usually play videogames but they are still working. And in the night I see the Tv and go to bed but they go to bed because they are working all the day.

I have chosen this photo because they look like bad and tired, and I think they are very good persons and they do not deserve this situation.

    Spain, Daniela Reina García

If I were a teenager in Burkina Faso and I lived with the Kabore family, I wouldn't have water whenever I want, I wouldn't have as many gadgets as I have, I wouldn't feel safe. I would miss my shoes and my city and I wouldn't have the same food.

I've chosen this photo because I feel like they're not safe. Look at the door there is a hole and it is bend. How can you feel safe in a house that it cannot be locked?

    Spain, María Muñoz

I am from Burundi and I live in a two bedroom house. We are 5 members in my family, my mother, my brother and my two sisters. We live in a two bedroom house with a backyard, bathroom privacy, kitchen, place where eating dinner and a storage room. We have been living here for 5 years. This house has not electricity and water. My life in Spain is very comfortable because I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Burundi and I lived with the Butoyi family, I wouldn't have any chance to be work on whatever I wanted and I would´t have good food every day. I have chosen this photo because when I saw it I felt a little ungrateful and it made me think that I should be grateful for everything I have.

    Spain, Alejandro Fernández

My life in Spain is very comfortable but, If I were a teenager in Indonesia and I lived with the Yanvar family, I wouldn’t have everything I have in Spain, I couldn't have everything I have now, but it would be hard for me to have a lot of things. I would live in a rented apartment for three years, we would spend 30% of money on food, approximately 10% of food is received through gifts or other sources… We will have to have the minimum that we need in this family, because this family is saving a lot of money to buy what we need and want to have fun and go on a trip.

    Spain, Carlos Guerrero

If I were a teenager in Ivory Coast and I lived with the Fofana family, I would not have so many things that in my normal family I have, like a car or a good bathroom. But in this family I work a lot for eat something everyday meanwhile in my normal I not.

    Spain, Inés Pérez Luna

I have a good life here in Spain. If I were a teenager in Somalia and I lived with the Idle family, I think that I wouldn't have many opportunities to study what I want to study or even to go to school. I wouldn't also have half of the clothes that I have or food on my plate every day.

I have chosen this photo because I got impressed because of the bad conditions on where they sleep, instead of that I have a good bedroom with a good mattress.

    Spain, Adriana Álvarez

If I were a teenager in Haiti and I lived with the Paul family, I would help my mother more, I would share my bedroom with all family. I would go to recollect water every day, I would not go to school and I would cook for my family every day.

    Spain, Ariel Guijarro.

If I were a teenager in Bangladesh and I lived with the Paramanik family, I would like to have more monthly income because I consider that that money is very little. I would like to have a more stable house too.

I have chosen this photo because this reflects the situation of this family. In the photo, you can see all the members of the family and the house in the background.

    Spain, Laura Pérez

If I were a teenager in Nepal and I lived with the Lama’s family, I would like to go to the school and have direct access to healthy food to have a good diet. There are basic things that I have here in Spain everyday and we don’t give it the importance it has. I have chosen this photo because we can see how needy some are and the contrast with our environment.

    Spain, Lucia Guerrero

If I were a teenager in Burundi and I lived with the Nidikumwami family, I wouldn’t have the things that I have now like water, clothes, a comfortable house with items, a good monthly income, etc. If I couldn’t have education and in the future I wouldn’t work in what I like. I would work from a very young age.

I have chosen this photo because we are used to having many things like makeup and there they settle for very little.

    md.mihaela1

Hi, my name is Mihaela. I live in the Republic of Moldova. I chose a family from South Korea because I really like their traditions. Their minimum monthly income is $ 500 and above. If I compare with the family in the picture I can say that I am richer and they really like comfort

    md.adriana

I choosed this family from France. If i lived in this family i haved the opportunity to visit many pictoreque views. They seem to have everything that they need,so they can survive in case of something bad.I like how they have everything organied.Their dream is to buy a house with a big garden in Paris, that is great for a children to make their creativity bigger.

    md.consuela

I choosed family from Czech Republic. They seem like they need one more child. If i lived there,i'd haved the oportunity to know how its to live with a creative mom, writer. They aren't poor and also they aren't rich,și i can survive there.

    MD.Madalina

A family from Cameroon -I chose to visit a family from Cameroon because I found something interesting about their culture. Their living conditions seemed quite unusual to me. But I understood that no matter how rich you are you must always love your country in who live and always be with a smile on your face.

    Spain, Juan Muñoz Ordóñez

.My life in Spain is very comfortable because I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Camboya and I lived with another family, I wouldn’t have the same things that I have now,for example:a playstation with video games, football clothes, extra activities or the same opportunities to study, I would have to work and help my family and of course, I wouldn’t live in a nice house with all facilities.

I have chosen this photo because I think,it's a good way to show how my family would be If I lived in Camboya.

    Spain, Miguel Poole

My life in Spain is very comfortable because I have everything I need. My parents work and their salary is enough for living well, we do not need to ask for food or help from others every day like Idle family.
I have my own bedroom and my house has bathrooms inside.
If I were a teenager in Somalia and I lived with the Idle family, I would surely not go to high school and would be working all day.
Also would not have good hygiene and a good diet. I am very grateful to what I have: family, friends, the area...

I have chosen this photo because it represents very well that there is poverty in the world and people have to know that there are people who are not as lucky as they are.

    md.sergiuleanca

In order to solve global problems, we must first understand each other and help each other, forget about hated and hated, and live in peace and harmony.

    Andra Umalas

Since I was born to a relatively wealthy family in Estonia, I haven't had to experience many financial hardships. Sadly, you cannot say that about the family in Myanmar I paid a virtual visit to. If I were living with this family, I would not have the luxury of my own room, instead, I would have to share a cramped room with my parents and many siblings. I would also never feel safe, due to the risk of flooding in the area that I live in, nor would I have access to tap water, not to even mention electricity or the internet.
These families living in extreme poverty often have the same dream, which is to have a house, suitable for life, to live in.
This picture stuck out to me the most because it really shows how tiny of a space this 5 member family is stuck living in.

    Ukraine, Romanova Stasy

Hi. My name is Stasy. I live in Ukraine with my parents, sister, three cats and dog. I have a good live, i have friends, free time to study and doing what i like. We have a good house and furniture. But if i was born in Cao family, every would be different.
This big family lives in Cambodia. Together the family works for 15-20 hours/week. The Kao family lives in a two-room squat that they built themselves. The house has electricity but there’s no toilet. About 80% of the family income is spent on buying food. Touch spends 7 hours a week on housework and 2 hours with her daughters collecting water, which is 3 km away, and wood, which is used as fuel for cooking. The Kao family hardly saves any money.
I very happy, that I don't live in those conditions.

    Ukraine, Valeria Zaharchuk

The Njoka family lives in Malawi. Saukani is 45 years old and works as an unskilled manual labor. His wife Selina is 40 years old and she works in agriculture. They live with their 5 children, who are in between 6 to 17 years of age. The Njoka family owns their 2-bedroom house and one hectare of land.

    Spain. Luis Medina

If I were a teenager and I lived with the Idle family, I wouldn’t study at school near my house, lalso I wouldn’t have electricity in my house . I wouldn’t have a phone like people in other countries. I think my life in Spain is very comfortable.

I have chosen this photo because I'm shocked about where children sleep. I think I'm very lucky to have my room with a great bed and all my things . I feel terrible for these children . I hope they can have a fantastic future.

    Md.Cătălina

I was impressed to visit a family from Japan because I find their culture very unusual. I am very interested in their habits and life. But a Sami fulfills the dream of getting there and not only, I will travel all over the world.

    Marta Llorca

I chose this picture because I think it’s shocking the bed where they sleep. It’s not even a bed. It’s just a piece of animal skin on some stacked branches. I think it’s horrible. It might have broken so many times.

My life in the Chowdhury family by Lua Noreña

My life in Spain is really nice, I have more than what I could ever ask for. If I were a teenager in India with the Chowdhury family, it’s obvious that my life would be totally different. I definitely couldn’t have my own phone and room. I guess I would have to work to get some money, because in underdeveloped countries usually kids start working really young to get as much money as they can for their families. I don’t know if I would be able to go to the school and I’m pretty sure that my health wouldn't be as good as they are in Spain. My life would be really different.

    Spain, Laura Conde

My life in Spain is very comfortable, and I have everything I need. If I were a teenager in Myanmar and I live with the Macho family, I would a life very different, I wouldn’t have a good house, a mobile phone, a médical service, a good water…

I have chosen this photo because I have never seen this type of bathroom. I find it impressive in the conditions that many persons can live. I think that we should help them, I can’t imagine be in that situation and thanks to these photos I have realized how lucky I am.

    Jaime Hachuel, Spain

Hi, my name is Jaime and I’m from Tomares, I still live here.
We are 4people in my close family, my mother, brother, father and me.
We have a comfortable house and a good economic situation.
If I were a teenager living in the Thor’s family living in Cambodia, I wouldn’t have a future, or some possessions that I use every day, like a phone, headphones... I wouldn’t have those objects in Cambodia.
With my friends here in Tomares, we have fun doing different activities that we wouldn't do in Cambodia, for example going to the cinema, going to a water park…
There the relationships with my friends would be more boring because we wouldn’t have a car to go to shopping centres, or to do some activities that we do here.
In conclusion, my life is much better in Tomares, and we have to help the people that are in bad conditions.

    Alina, Estonia.

My name is Alina, I'm from Estonia. The family I chose lives in China, but is Japanese itself. There are three people in the family, a Father who is a farmer, a mother who is a household member and also their child. For a not bad living, they have everything that people need. They cook with electricity, natural gas, coal, and wood. This family looks happy despite they aren’t happy with the quality of the house. They also have a dream. The family’s dream is to get the certificate to grow hemp. This will be very beneficial for them (the plant was prized for its fiber, and also used for ritual and medicinal purposes, was eaten.) Anyway, I hope their dream will come true.

    Estonia. Bogatsenko Karina

I live in Estonia, I have a small, happy family, which consist of me, mother, father and my litt,e brother. I have everything I need for life, food, water, good livimg conditions, own room, phone, internet and lots of friends. The Idle family lives in Somalia. Amina is a street beggar, while she says that in the night, ususaly 9 people sleep at home, she doesn’t say anything about her own family and yet she doesn’t list any income either. The Idle family lives in house, which has only 1 room, which they built on their own. And thats really shocking to me, how people can live in those, bad conditions.

    España, Alberto Gamero

Hi I am Alberto I am from Spain.
I have chosen this picture because it impressed me how they have that mess on the kitchen, it must be difficult to cook there with all that things, I couldn’t cook with all stuff involved

    Spain Carla Cruz

I have chosen this photo because it seems incredible to me that they can sleep in such harsh/terrible conditions. I realize how lucky I am to have comodities that other people don't have.

    Carlota Loscertales

Hi, I'm Carlota and I'm from Spain

This is the bedroom in the house of Idle family, the room is very dirty and I hate the dirt, This bed has no mattress and the blanket of the bed is broken and very dirty, all the room is dirty.
I think is very sad because here in Spain I have a big bedroom, with a desk, a big closet, and a comfortable bed. But only 9800 km away, The Idle family live in a very bad conditions.

    Spain, Marta Muñoz

My life here in Seville is very good and I’m very comfortable, I have everything Ineed. If I were a teenager in Haiti I wouldn’t have the same house and also my opportunities to go to high school or just learn. I would have the opportunity to learn new things about that type of life. My life would be very difficult.

I have chosen this photo because I felt very surprised about this type of shoes. These are the nicest shoes in this family. I think that they are not good because if it's raining you should have other shoes. And that shouldn't be happening.

    Ceres Valcárcel

I have chosen this image because it calls my attention where they have to go to relieve themselves. It´s so sad that they don't have a toilet in good conditions like us

    Ignacio Mármol

I have chosen this photo because it’s shocking that in the kitchen they have only three rocks, for example in my house I have a glass creamic and many electronic things. I think that the family I choose is very poor.

If I were a teenager in South Africa and I lived with Anelisa's family, It would change that my house wouldn’t be big; we wouldn’t have enough food to eat all the family 5 times per day; we wouldn’t have potable water in our house; we wouldn’t practice some sports; we wouldn’t meet our friends to go to a restaurant and probably we wouldn’t have presents for Chritsmas

    Mara Jiménez-Spain

I have chosen this photo because it seems incredible to me that they can sleep in those conditions. I I just realized how lucky I am to have amenities other people don't have.

    Sara Navarro

I am from Asia and I live in India. There are six members in my family, my mother, my grandmother, my grandfather, my brother and me.
If I were a teenager in India and I lived with the Sharma family, I would change a lot of things from my style of life, mainly the things I buy. Due to the money they have, I would have to buy less things and l wouldn’t have so many things for myself.
I have chosen this photo because for me it represents that they don’t even have enough money to buy a proper full lamp.
