  • 28th October: Creation and first Meeting of our Environment and Health Commitee

    Installing Recycling containers in classes and corridors

    Campaign to measure and inform about the quantity of waste that we create during playground time, in a project associated with the challenges of the Science Week in Catalonia.

    8th November 2020: Results of the evaluation of the daily waste in our playground 

    Students of 3rd ESO participated in a study to measure and analyse the waste produced during playground time. They created a poster with the results. These poster was further explained by environmental delegates to all students.

    26th November 2020: Special recycling campaigns

    Batteries' collection

    Batteries are extremely dangerous if they are not recycled properly.  In each class there is a little container for batteries, and a big one at the entry of our school, for any kind of batteries. This batteries' collection is into the Apilo project, where many schools in Catalonia participate.

    Plastic caps' collection

    We have a specific countainer for plastic bottle caps, to participate in the initiative "Tapones para una nueva vida" (Caps for a new life) to help to improve the life of little children with serious diseases.

    February 2021: Knowing and taking care of l'Alzinar a natural area near our school.

    We have started working to take care of that natural area and started activities to know the plant and animal species involved.

    We made a cleaning campaign of the space of holm oak trees.

     

    March 2021: Participating in regional eco-delegates Meeting, to improve schools sustainability

    Our green delegates participated and contributed to share ideas to improve the sustainability of our schools and towns.

    March 2021: Our IV Solidary and Sustainable March 

    We succeeded in recall our yearly and healthy march around our municipalities during the morning, and provisioning the pedestrians (all our students and teachers) with fruits, water and natural juices.

    April 2021: Visit of rural agents in a workshop on endangered species 

    After the conference, we set free a bird of an endangered species from our playground.
