Das 7. Gymnasium von Rhodos wurde 1992 gegründet. Die Schule hat ungefähr 286 Schüler im Alter von 12 bis 15 Jahren und 34 Lehrer. Es ist eine dreijährige Schulbildung im unteren Sekundarbereich. Die Klassen entsprechen der 7., 8. und 9. Klasse der europäischen Schulen. Der Lehrplan umfasst allgemeinbildende Kurse (Sprache, Geschichte, Mathematik, Physik, Englisch, Französisch, Deutsch, Gymnastik usw.). Zu den Schuleinrichtungen gehören Computer-, Chemie- und Technologielabore. Seit 2000 gibt es außerdem eine große Schulbibliothek, die auch von der Europäischen Union finanziert wurde (EPEAEK, Ialyssos School Libraries Network).In der Schule ist Englisch die erste Fremdsprache und als zweite Fremdsprachen kann man entweder Deutsch oder Französisch wählen.
Die Schule zeichnet sich durch den Einsatz innovativer Lehrmethoden sowohl im Lehrplan als auch im Rahmen der semi-formalen Ausbildung aus (Theatertechniken, Projektunterricht, Unterrichten mit neuen Technologien). Viele Programme zur Kultur-, Gesundheitserziehung und Umwelterziehung wurden entwickelt. Unsere Schule verfügt auch über langjährige Erfahrung in europäischen Comenius- und Erasmus-Programmen sowie in Kooperationen mit griechischen Bildungsinstitutionen.
Τhe 7th Junior High School of Rhodes was founded in 1992 and is situated in the town of Rhodes, the capital of the island. It is a three-year lower secondary education school. The classes correspond to the 7th, 8th and 9th grade of the European schools. The curriculum includes general education courses (language, history, math, physics, English, French, German, gymnastics, etc.). There are also computer, chemistry, and technology laboratories.The school has 260 students and 30 teachers .Since 2000 the school has also had a big School Library founded by the Ministry of Education and the European Union (EPEAEK, Ialyssos Network of School Libraries. A variety of innovative projects in the framework of non-formal or semi-formal education involving environmental , health, local history, cultural and theater education have been carried out in the school, many of which have been awarded. Our school also has many years of experience in European Comenius and Erasmus programs as well as in cooperation with Greek educational institutions.
