Lessons we can share

  • Here, let' s share the lessons that we, the partner teachers, create and have with our students. Their pen pals abroad can have the same lessons, and then exchange information, ideas and feedback about these lessons on the forum. Pen pals don' t only share common interests and learn about each other - they can also share their lessons and learn from each other!!!

    LESSON 2 (from POLAND)

    Partner countries on the map

The aim of this lesson was to teach students where the partner countries are and what their capitals are.

    • First the teacher wrote the names of the countries on the board and pupils had to find them in the map shown on a smartboard.
    • Then the students raced in pairs to the map to be the first to touch the country shouted out by the teacher.
    • Their next task was to match the countries to their capitals (countries and capitals written on the board)
    • In pairs, they asked questions "What's the capital of ...."
    • In groups of four they played a game in which one of them said the country and the others had to name the capital, the first to do that got a point. The final winner was the one with most points.
    • Races to the map to touch the capital called out by the teacher.

    3. Match the words to the pictures and then put the words in the blanks

    4. Tell your new pen friend all about Christmas customs in your country. Write about them, then report to class.
