    From 30 November to 11 December, governments met in Paris for the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) to agree on a new global climate change agreement.

    A universal agreement that covers all countries, developed and developing, the COP21 climate deal served as the starting point for a long-term effort to stop global temperatures from rising more than­ 2°C (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).
